What better way to celebrate National Chocolate Cake Day (27th January) than to bake our very own chocolate cake. Inspired by Isla’s love of Num  Noms. We received a hamper of goodies to decorate our cakes and a Series 4 deluxe pack of Num Noms. Isla was very, very excited. Below is Isla’s creation (one vegetarian and one not):

Bake in the box Cake

We received 2 Double Chocolate Bake in the Box cakes from Dr Oetker. They are perfect for small children and when you are in a hurry. You only need to add 130ml of milk, mix it up and bake it. Isla really loved this as she didn’t need me to help her. She likes to bake and doing it independently was a lot of fun for her.

This recipe looks awesome!!! Since I don’t use grain flour, do you think almond or coconut flour would work well as a substitute? Thanks!
