I madeover Isla’s bedroom and turned it into a princess toddler room, so it was only fair I did the same for Noah too. He loves his pirates and still loves his Thomas and friends, so I went down that theme. Things are a little limited when you have a rather humungous Thomas the tank engine bed in the middle of your room.
Daddy and I bought a lot of lovely artwork for Noah’s bedroom walls, so I finally put them up at the weekend. I love the canvas above his bed, I think it looks really lovely against the duck egg blue colour on the wall. Always look on the bright side is just him all over too. He is a very happy, positive little bunny and full of brightness. It was a perfect match. Along with the picture in a frame of the clouds, you make me happy when skies are grey. I just love that quote. And again, it totally replicates the love I have for that little man. He can always bring up my mood and make me happy again. (Unless he is fighting with his sister of course). His Noah picture made out of pirates is superb and this was what set off the pirate theme in his bedroom.
We recently recieved the fabulous pegboard from The Kid Who, they design some amazing eclectic kids lifestyle items and this pegboard is particularly useful. We will be hanging a lot from it over the weeks, he has told me that he wants his special pen to hang from it, so I will have to make a little pen shelf out of the pegs.
I painted the one wall, the largest wall, a lovely duck egg blue colour with the view that I would put wall stickers on the coloured wall but when the stickers came I thought they would live perfectly on top of Noah’s handmade toy box, that’s where he plays with his pirate ships from the ELC. The wall stickers, from Spin Collective, just look amazing on the wall and they were so easy to put up, a review of them will be coming on a separate page, they just make the wall look fabulous.
The pirate bedding is from Next, it just finishes off the room nicely and it goes really well with his Thomas bed. I just love the bedroom. It makes me happy. Seeing his face in his room makes me happy. His exact words were “Mummy it just looks lovely”. It made my day.
What a gorgeous room! That bed is just awesome! x
