Watching Isla progress through her Gymfinity journey has been such a joy. This week, she proudly passed her level 7 gymnastics award and is now moving up to level 8. It feels like just yesterday she was learning her first rolls and jumps, and now she’s confidently working her way through challenging routines.

Level 7 was all about refining her basics – from neat cartwheels to strong handstands and controlled jumps. Isla’s coaches have been so encouraging, helping her to build strength and polish her technique. Over the past few months, her confidence has soared. She now walks into her sessions with a big smile, ready to take on whatever skill is next, and it’s wonderful to see her belief in her own ability grow.

Moving into Gymfinity level 8 will bring some exciting new challenges. Isla will start learning:

  • More advanced tumbling skills, like round-offs and dive rolls.
  • Beginning to link moves together into short floor sequences.
  • Vault drills that introduce more power and speed.
  • Developing balance on the beam with trickier combinations.
  • Strength and flexibility exercises that prepare her for higher levels.

It’s a big step up, but Isla is ready for it. She’s already been showing us at home how she practises stretches and balances in the living room – her enthusiasm is infectious. I couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come in both skill and confidence.

If your child is thinking about starting gymnastics, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s been such a positive experience for Isla – not only physically, but also in building resilience and self-belief.
