Today we went to Wells next to the sea in Norfolk, we all love the beach and so we thought we would get wrapped up nice and warm and take a drive. It was great and I am so glad we decided to go. The weather was perfect, blue skies, sun shining and little wind on the beach- perfect!
I used to go to Wells a lot when I was younger with my family, I have lots of lovely memories of the area and I am so glad that I get to make new ones with my family here.
We were incredibly lucky to see a baby seal pup today too, he was sitting on the sand waiting for the tide to come in so he could swim off with his mummy. We’re not sure if he was a poorly pup but it was nice to see his beautiful eyes so up close and personal. We stood about 1.5metres away from him:
After we said goodbye to the seal we took a walk to the dunes and had lots of fun and a yummy picnic:
It’s amazing how much fun you can have on the beach, I could stay there all day. Isla needs to walk a little quicker though otherwise we would never get anywhere. Bless her! She did really well for her 20 months though, she walked and ran, explored and rolled for the 3.5 hours we were on the beach. It was great fun. Noah’s favourite part was sand dune rolling, Isla couldn’t do it very well. They were laughing and giggling at each other. It was lovely to see.
Wells next to the sea is a great place to explore, really picturesque and a huge place to have lots of adventures. I’m hoping to have many more adventures there this year. We took our shell collection home and cleaned them up, ready for crafts and of course, had the loveliest fish n chips!
It looks like a fabulous trip out! So many gorgeous photos, and how amazing to see that seal pup, too. And fish and chips to round it off yum 🙂
I am becoming very jealous of all you lovely bloggers and your visits to the beach AND fish and chips! What a fun time you all had, I love the idea of sand dune rolling it sounds great and how fab to see a seal pup – I hope it was ok. Thanks for linking up and sharing your fun with Country Kids.
So lovely a beach I am jealous!
Wow, what amazing light and the sand looks really enticing! I would have found it very difficult to not take my shoes and socks off.
Looks like a great day. We have just booked a holiday for the beginning of March to Old Hunstanton and think we might visit Wells, the beach looks great! x
