๐Ÿฅ‚ We kicked off my favourite season at a lovely wedding for one my favourite people on Saturday. ๐—”๐˜‚๐˜๐˜‚๐—บ๐—ป weddings are just beautiful. Itโ€™s so nice to get dressed up and make an effort.โฃ โฃ I love this photo (taken by another of my favourite people haha), itโ€™s nice to get little ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐˜€ on special days. โฃ โฃ Itโ€™s such a ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ด๐—ฒ to be invited to a friendโ€™s wedding. โฃ โฃ Having a break away from the norm really helped. ๐ŸŒฟ Now I wouldnโ€™t be a typical Brit if I didnโ€™t mention the weatherโ€ฆ oh yes, today is the last day of ๐—ฆ๐˜‚๐—บ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ (officially) and so in comes the cosy nights & cold sunshiny days.โฃ โฃ We had a very low key Summer this year, largely because I didnโ€™t want to leave Rocky for long periods (as we knew he was very poorly) and the weather was pretty horrible. But we had some amazing ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€ and made some incredible memories.โฃ โฃ Looking back through my photos I ๐˜€๐—บ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ and cried a littleโ€ฆ this photo is from our rather large adventure in the Peaks. ๐Ÿ‚ The leaves are starting to scatterโ€ฆ it can only mean one thing: Autumn is on the way! I handed my assignment inโ€ฆ now the waiting of whether I passed or not. It was my final one and so itโ€™s worth 50% of the year. As you can imagine itโ€™s pretty nerve wracking. A degree apprenticeship is harder than it looked. Not only do you study the academic aspects of a degree, you also do the apprenticeship side of things. Both have learning and assignments. Thatโ€™s 8 a year! On top of working full time and being a parent, oh and a blogger. Yes, itโ€™s been a hard few years. But if we can all just cross fingers that Iโ€™ve got more than 40% on this last assignment - Iโ€™ll be so happy! ๐Ÿคฃ Now itโ€™s done I can start looking forward to Autumn. โœ๏ธ What a weekโ€ฆThese 2 threw themselves back into ๐˜€๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—น without any issues and completely smashed it! Isla has joined her big brother again as she started secondary school. She is still a bit nervous, it must be daunting having so many people in the year and itโ€™s such a big school. Noah seems to have seamlessly transitioned into year 8.โฃ โฃ Theyโ€™ve been told they can leave their blazers at home, due to the ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ, but theyโ€™ve both worn them all day. ๐Ÿฅต I donโ€™t know how theyโ€™ve done it.โฃ โฃ I thought it would be ๐˜€๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ already, not sweaty weather! Not only has Isla been learning gymnastics but also confidence. She is a different girl to what started a few years ago, she loves going to class and absolutely loves the girls in her group.โฃ โฃ Iโ€™m hoping Isla has got her level 6, which she is currently working towards. ๐—”๐˜„๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐˜€ week are every quarter where we get to see how close Isla is to the next level up. We had a chilled weekend, the last of the Summer Holidays, no plans and just us. The kids still have a few days at home this week but we wanted to start getting in a good ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ: bedtime and waking up!โฃ โฃ Saturday we went for a lovely walk after stuffing our faces at the Pizza Hut all you can eat buffet. The walk around the marina is so lovely, look at that ๐˜€๐—ธ๐˜†? โฃ โฃ Sunday we spent most of the day chilling at the side of another lake, Grafham. It felt very hot with little wind, the sun was ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐˜. We had a mini badminton tournament & the kids bounced on the pillow. They love it there. I finally got to take Isla to see Barbie last night too: I was gutted the Barbie box had been taken down.โฃ โฃ I do love weekends like this when itโ€™s just chilled and thereโ€™s no rushing to get places. ๐Ÿฅพ We spent the day ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ธ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด around the Peaks. I just love it up there, the landscape is so beautiful. Hubby had a route on his trail app and we just went for it. โฃThis was one of my favourite photos as we walked out of the woodland, perfect for todayโ€™s photo challenge. โฃ I feel full of smiles this evening for it: not only did we smash over ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฐ๐—ธ๐—บ today, we had a lovely day together. It was nice to have chats with my babies, they seemed so grown up. Isla and I had a long conversation about how our bodies change over the years and Noah talked a lot about football with Daddy.โฃ โฃ Isla said when we got to the top of Mam Tor how she loved this walk as we had a nice ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜. It melted my heart. Sheโ€™s right. It was so nice to just chat. She asked me a million questions, it was nice to know she trusted me with the things on her mind. โฃ โฃ There was another moment where both Noah and Isla held my ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜€. I didnโ€™t want that to end, itโ€™s not very often Noah does this anymore. It was another special moment.โฃ โฃ This walk is full of unstable terrain, steep inclines and absolutely ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ views. ๐Ÿฅ‚ Last night Hubby and I had a ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐˜ off being Mummy & Daddy. We celebrated our friendโ€™s 50th and had a blast. It was so nice to unwind with so many good friends.โฃ โฃ We got home at 3am and the soles of my feet have blisters from all the dancing. ๐Ÿ’ƒ I think that says it all! The ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜๐˜† was just perfect and the playlist was one brilliant sing along track after the other.โฃ โฃ I didnโ€™t wake up until 10:45am (which is unheard of) just in time to watch the ๐—Ÿ๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฒ๐˜€. What a cracking game. Today we left the animals at home with auntie Zoe and uncle Tommy and The Constants went on a road trip to Leicestershire. We spent the afternoon at Conkers and then Sketchley Grange hotel. Our room is lovely. The kids are so excited.
