One of my aims of being on the Chad Valley Play Panel is to review the amazing range of toys, but also to keep my eye on some great bargains for families. You may remember I recently reviewed the Isabella interactive doll with Isla. This time around I am looking at this great value pirate ship, which is on sale now for just £9.69.
I actually had a lot of fun building this ship, it took me about 30 minutes with a cup of tea in the mix, the instructions were really easy to follow and there are only a few elements that needed a screwdriver. The details in the pieces are fab, decking pattern for example, the fencing around the point of the ship and even a little ladder for the crew to climb up and down. The mast has a lot of detail and the sails look really effective hanging from it.
This classic wooden pirate ship comes with a crew of 6 pirates, 2 spaces for cannons, a ladder and of course some treasure to plunder. Noah enjoyed hiding the treasure in the base of the ship, then he makes up stories about the pirates protecting the treasure from the baddies. Noah loved playing with the pirate ship, he said it was lots of fun. It would make a great present for someone’s Christmas, wooden classics are always a hit and they last for such a long time.
