10 Winter weekend getaways in the USA

Winter is often the best time to plan a vacation in the U.S. — popular tourist hotspots are quieter, temperatures across the south are milder, and snow turns the northern states into a winter wonderland. Florida is one of my dream destinations to visit in the USA and I would love to visit and do lots of little trips at once. We were very lucky to receive a weekend break at Landal Darwin Forest (by Landal UK), up on the outskirts of the beautiful Peak District. We stayed in a fantastic and luxury lodge which had its very own hot tub - just for us. Heaven! There is so much to do onsite we never had a dull moment and that was despite the rainy weather in July. VIEW the POST

Challenges you have to overcome when you are travelling with kids in a foreign place!

But we should also be aware that life becomes slightly more on the challenging side when we are travelling with them. The real picture is — just as certain days at home are super difficult for you parents, the same could happen on your family vacation as well. Some days on the trip will make you feel super happy and rewarded, while some days might leave you pretty exhausted and tired.
