Bottle Week: Calypso Electric Breast Pump

Ardo has developed a brand new range of Breastpumps and nursing aid products. These new products have been developed with the purpose of meeting both the personal requirements and individual needs of mothers and their babies. Personal requirements for me were ease, comfort, efficiency and discreetness. I wanted to be able to use this pump sitting on my comfortable sofa, watching the TV without feeling like an eye sore in front of my husband and also wanted it to be discreet in front of Noah. I wasn't sure how he would react to the big scary electric pump attached to mummy. I was extremely lucky to have been sent the Calypso Electric Breast Pump and also just in time for our holiday abroad. So what's in the box: Calypso Breast Pump with single pumpset, breast shells 26mm and 31mm, breast shell insert 28mm, OptiFlow 26mm, brush for cleaning and bottle…

Bottle Week: MAM Manual Breast Pump

Bottle Week: MAM Manual Breast Pump

As part of Bottle Week I am featuring this fabulous manual Breast pump to aid all those parents that would like to express milk and use bottles. I was sent a manual breast pump by MAM and I must admit, at first I was really sceptical about using a manual Breast pump. I had heard a lot of stories about people getting sore wrists, arms, hands and it taking a long time to pump any kind of substantial amount out from manual breast pumps. But I gave it a try and I'm very glad I did, this MAM Breast Pump is winner of the Mother and Baby Gold Award, after all. The MAM manual breast pump maternity pack comes with: 1x Manual Breast Pump, 1x 130ml Anti-Colic bottle, 1x 160ml Anti-Colic bottle, 2x slow flow teats and 2x sealing discs. You can buy it online from the MAM website. The functional ...

Bottle Week: MAM Anti Colic

Bottle Week: MAM Anti Colic

I was lucky enough to be sent a MAM Manual Pump to review when I was pregnant with Isla, the manual pump came with a green MAM anti colic bottle to capture the milk that you have expressed. I say I'm lucky I was sent the pump because I would never have come across the bottles, they are absolutely fantastic and by far the best bottles I have ever used. They are so easy to use, the anti colic system is fantastic and really helped with Isla. I am in a firm routine with the bottles now, I never have any trouble washing them and they fit in the steriliser too. The other really good thing about these bottles is that they self sterilise!!! This has come in extremely handy over the weeks. The teat shape was perfect for Isla - she was happiest feeding from this shaped teat and ...

Bottle Week: Tommee Tippee

Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature range has been a range we used since Noah was born, we still use the bottles and steriliser today and can honestly say that the bottles have been really good – hard wearing, comfortable to hold, easy for baby to hold and easy to keep clean. The bottles designed for 0+ are designed specifically for ease of swapping from breast to bottle, to make it easier to combine feed. With Noah I bottle fed from after week 1 as we both didn’t get on with breastfeeding as you may remember. My mum had brought us the Tommee Tippee bottles and steriliser as a gift before Noah arrived and so we felt lucky to have them around when we realised that Noah would be fed better by the bottle. I used the Tommee Tippee electric breast pump with these bottles and it worked really well,…
