We have been really lucky to try out this fab Fireman Sam my first notebook from the clever KD team, it looks just like a real laptop but with one of the children’s favourite cartoon character on it. Both Noah and Isla love it and it has really helped with Noah’s development.
The great thing with this notebook is that it cannot be broken by the little ones and to them, it looks just like Mummy’s compooter (as they call it). Noah soom worked out he can use the mouse to navigate around the folders and choose from one of four fun games, and it has helped him to learn character names, numbers, colours and letters. He can say the alphabet now, entirely and Isla isn’t far behind him. This is all thanks for development based toys like this, they are designed to make learning fun.
Noah enjoys playing on his laptop when Mummy is working on her laptop, he has also learnt he can multitask like Mummy – eating biscuits and drinking tea mainly! It is so lovely to see him copying what Mummy and Daddy do, although I do not want him to think that is all I do! The Fireman Sam My First Notebook looks just like a real computer, with eight folders on the desktop, showing scenes of all the rescues taking place in Pontypandy, as well as a full alphanumeric keyboard and working mousepad – so Noah literally feels like he is doing what Mummy does. Maybe I could get him to produce my documentation and write my blog posts for me too! You do need 2 x AAA batteries for this notebook, but we have had it for a good few months and we have never needed to replace them. It seems to be really economical on the power.
You can buy one of these fab notebooks on many websites, one of them being Argos. You can follow KD on Facebook and Twitter too:
@KD_UK_ It keeps them quiet for a long time, it is a great toy for a toddler birthday or even a new gift to keep them entertained over the summer months.
