What better way to start off the Easter holidays than by getting together with friends and doing the National Trust, Cadburys Easter Egg hunt. Destination of choice Anglesey Abbey. It’s the second time we have done it there and both have been brilliant fun, Good Friday just happened to be extremely sunny and quite warm too – which was fabulous.
The hunt this year started near the Hoe Fen woodlands and took us all around the woodland, where we had to make a den and hunt down letters in the storytelling circle and around that area. We had the opportunity to get some fun Easter photos in a little selfie area they had set up and then it finished by the new play area that they have created. Swinging hammocks and bales of straw for jumping over, the children had a fabulous time burning off their chocolate session.
After we completed the chocolate challenge, and I felt complete satisfaction for working out the answer to the hunt quiz, we had a picnic lunch near the tree house and then spent the entire afternoon wandering around. We made it to the mill and around that way, the gardens are so pretty and the children had a lovely time. I still cannot believe we spent 6 hours there, it went so quickly and was the perfect day for it.
Here are some of the pictures that we captured along our adventures, some great memories and a brilliant way to start our Easter holidays:

March 28, 2016Good Friday really was the day of the weekend for getting out and about. I’m loving the look of the Easter Trails around and the setting for this one looks beautiful. @Your photos as always are gorgeous, that first in the woods is wonderful and the kids look so happy in them all. Days out like this as a big family group as such fun and ones I hope you will all remember. Fingers crossed we have the sunshine back again this week, we managed our Easter crafts and activities out on the farm on Good Friday and I’m hoping to do the same again this week. Thank you for sharing your wonderful day on #CountryKids.
