The Disney Store do a fantastic range of bath toys which Noah and Isla love playing with – we are growing quite a collection at home now. We have Mickey Mouse and his clubhouse team, Winnie-the-Pooh and friends and now we have the wonderful Toy Story bath toy collection. You get Woody, Buzz, Rex, Lotso, Bullseye and Pork Chop and the kids love playing with them in the bath.
I was very excited when the Disney Store box arrived on the dining room table, one of the greatest kinds of boxes you can receive. I was like a small child opening it up to get the toys out. We were sent the Toy Story bathtime toys to review in the bath with Noah and Isla and they really do love them.
It really encouraged Noah to role play and we do little bathtime shows, Mummy sometimes gets Woody and Buzz and puts on a little performance on for the little ones and they sit there giggling because Woody and Buzz are being silly. Noah is even starting to copy what I say, especially when Buzz goes “to infinity and beyond” and flies into the bath. They think that is a lot of fun.
The packaging says it is safe for 6months+, but the website says 3 years+, I can confirm however that it is 6 months+ and the good thing about them is they are pretty big toys so you can’t choke on the characters – which means I can be confident that the little ones will be OK in the bath with them. Isla loves chewing on Woody’s guitar, it is the right size for her jaws to chew on and it helps when she is teething. Noah just likes to play with them and he makes them walk around the bath and Buzz flies into the sky. It’s great watching his little imagination take shape, I think he is going to be a little creative one like me.
The characters help develop Noah’s speech because we talk about the colours, the names, the noises and we count them too – it also makes it fun that he loves the characters from Toy Story too. It won’t be long before Isla is shouting “buzz” and “woody” and they are playing little games of role play together in the bath, which will be really cute to watch.
