We were asked by the fabulous 100 Queen’s Gate hotel in Kensington, London, to try out their new Little Explorers package as a family. Think “hotel stay that’s all about the children” and you are close. It was a beautiful hotel and we had a fabulous weekend. If you are looking for a city break with the kids, then you must check out this fabulous family deal at 100 Queen’s Gate hotel.

The hotel is in a perfect location, it’s a 10 minute walk to the National History Museum or Science Museum. Royal Albert Hall is not far from the hotel. The V&A museum is also less than 10 minutes walk, we really wanted to go in these but I didn’t pre-book the free ticket.

TIP: A new COVID-19 rule is that these museums are asking customers to book a free ticket, make sure you do this BEFORE you visit.

We took a lovely walk from the hotel, through Kensington Gardens, under Wellington Arch and down Constitution Hill to see Buckingham Palace. It was quite quiet which was nice. We walked alongside Police on horses and enjoyed family time in the city. It always fascinated us, when we got back to the hotel, as the place is just so fantastic to look at. Everywhere we went there was something beautiful to look at. The above photo is reception, the colours and lights just made us say “wow” and the photo below is of the staircase. We loved it. It sparkled with the light from the windows, it created a magical effect as we walked down the stairs. This has to be my favourite photo:

What do you get in the Little Explorers package?

We loved this package, it is a great idea for families and it made the kiddies feel so special. They loved it. • Early check in – from 10am and late checkout at 4pm
  • £50 credit per stay to be used on food and drink in the hotel

We had a fabulous weekend, we could have stayed in the hotel for a lot longer and made the most of the beauty. The children loved it and Isla cried when we got home, saying “I want to go back to the hotel”. That’s always a sign of a good time. I would highly recommend the Little Explorers package if you are looking to stay in London. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant on Saturday evening, they catered for the meat eaters, pescatarians and vegetarian of the group! We had a breakfast of champions too.

The photos below are from our stay, they are either of the room, the hotel or our meals:

This is a quick route from the hotel to Buckingham Palace, you can walk through the gardens like we did and walk past famous shops too:

Disclaimer – we received our stay for free, in exchange for our honest review.

That looks beautiful. We’ve been lucky to visit London twice this year once with the kids and once without wish we stayed somewhere as beautiful as this though.
