Conferences are brilliant for learning and networking, but they are so tiring. โฃ โฃ Iโ€™ve eaten loads and drunk far too much coffeeโ€ฆ I wanted to bounce on the beds and run around revolving doors (like in Home Alone) but this hotel didnโ€™t have those kinds of doors. ๐ŸŽ„ This is the perfect way to start the festive seasonโ€ฆ this ๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐˜‚๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น at National Trust Wimpole Hall is absolutely breathtaking. โฃ โฃ I love the combination of beautiful landscape, mesmerising ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐˜๐˜€ and music that just fills your heart with happy, festive, memories. โฃ โฃ This is the second time weโ€™ve been and it is definitely going to be our new Christmas ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป. We love it!โฃ โฃ This is an hour walk snipped into 90 seconds. ๐Ÿ’ป Guess whoโ€™s got a ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ? Oh yes, that is me. Over 3 years of hard work has led me to this and I feel so proud of myself. Starting a degree during Covid and homeschooling children and working is just insane when I think back.โฃ โฃ All that study time means I have a BSc Hons in ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ. I love that this is a universal degree, it means I can use it whatever my future holds. โฃ โฃ As itโ€™s an apprenticeship, through my employer, I still have some work to do to finish off. But my certificate is en routeโ€ฆ the hard work is done. I wouldnโ€™t have been able to do this if it wasnโ€™t for my employer giving me time to study and Hubby for giving me the space to work into the evenings and weekends. Itโ€™s a lot of time. And I will be forever grateful. โฃ โฃ I love learning and itโ€™s something Iโ€™ve always wanted to do, as I left uni at 20 without my ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐˜„ degree. It was my biggest regret leaving so close to the end. I often made him a den somewhere, so he could hide. Itโ€™s not nice seeing your ๐—ณ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜€ go through that. So weโ€™ve never really embraced this occasion by going to a firework event. โฃ โฃ Instead we sit and watch them from the glass windows, where weโ€™re warm and safe. I raised a glass of ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐˜‡๐˜‡ to my furbabies up in heaven tonight. Weโ€™ve had an amazing Saturday: feeding the farm animals, riding a donkey, doing a bear hunt trail, chilling in the hot tub, making Guy Fawkes and watching the bonfire. My favourite was walking the goats, which I have lots of cute video footage of. Such happy memories from today. I love this place.
