🧙‍♀️ Yay we finally made time to watch the new Hocus Pocus 2 movie and we absolutely loved it! It was a great way to kick off the countdown to Halloween.

It was also the perfect opportunity to road test my new mug… which I absolutely adore.

I’ve started to get the Autumn and Halloween decor out of the attic. The living room always feels full and homely at this time of year.

Two questions:

👀 Have you noticed my little visitor to the living room?

🎥 Have you watched the new movie, what did you think? 🍿

May your autumn be full of blue skies and cool walks… bobble hats and family talks.
Fresh air in your lungs and a crunch at your feet… where the working week ends and the weekends meet!

I hope you had a lovely weekend and got out in the fresh air. I needed a chilled weekend and I feel refreshed for the week ahead. I need to get a good fitness routine going which I’m hoping to start tomorrow 🍂

🍂 So it might just be time for the bobble hats to come out of hiding… anyone else live in hats during the colder months?

It’s been so nice to wrap up in layers of cosy jumpers, boots and jackets this week. I love “sweater weather” so much! If that made you laugh, then you’re my kinda people.

What is your go to Autumnal outfit? I’m in the need for inspiration 🍂

If I was a….

This took me forever to make but I loved doing it. I love being creative and I learnt to use CapCut which Isla absolutely loves. She squealed when I showed her this.

I have the template (which I might blog about as the one I followed wasn’t quite accurate) and I have a few sneaky ways of doing things!

I’ve loved seeing everyone else’s version of this and so I had to do my own! And I wouldn’t change a thing…

What would you be? 🥰

Is there anything more relaxing and calming than this view? The sun setting over the sea and the calmness in the sea too.

Made me smile looking back at my Summer photos today. I’ve had a day of “cosy” as I drank far too much last night at my friends 40th party… I danced all night and walked home with bare feet. The signs of a good night!

I’ve not been out and danced in years. I literally can’t remember the last time I did that! It was a nice break from being Mum & Dad. Letting your hair down is sometimes the best medicine from a stressful few weeks.

What do you do to unwind?

I think it’s really important to love the space where you work, for you spend a long time working in it! When designing my home office area I kept thinking about what makes me happy…

I wanted a space dedicated to my desk. After working on makeshift spaces for 2 years it felt so nice to have a dedicated work space.

I wanted to be by the garden window so I can see the flowers and watch nature about it’s business. I have seen lots of birds and a few squirrels this Spring and Summer.

I wanted the right storage too. Working from home, studying and the blog all result in lots of things I need to put away. I wanted them to have a home. I’ve got the Kallax unit from IKEA with cupboards, drawers and box storage. It’s perfect!

I’ve been doing a bit of a Autumn clean in preparation for the impending season. I love Autumn, it’s my favourite and I want to start it with a clutter free office area (and mind too).

Anyone else feel more productive if their environment is less cluttered?

Travel accessories that are fun, stylish and comfy

Travel accessories that are fun, stylish and comfy

We were sent some fantastic items from Go Travel at the start of the Summer holidays and they have been invaluable. All the long drives, the flights, the waiting around for various things can be really boring for children. The travel accessories we received have meant that the children can be comfortable and also entertained. They also have something nice to snuggle too. VIEW the POST

Social Media Use Amongst Kids – Is It Healthy?

Social Media Use Amongst Kids – Is It Healthy?

Over the past few years, the world has been swept away with social media. As we become knowledge rich but time poor I think it’s evident that the vast majority of us are guilty of allowing it to play a key part in our day-to-day lives. This story is also becoming true for our children but is this healthy or should we start to be concerned? Do we need to protect our children or should we allow them to explore the world through their devices? Read on for a helpful guide that will help you gain a better understanding of the pros, cons and risks associated with social media use amongst children. VIEW the POST

Do I take responsibility for my vehicle?

Yes! Especially after the horrible accident last month, I am still trying to get my head around that and one of the big questions I asked myself was what if? What if the tyres had been bald? What if the tyres were cheap and weak? Would they have exploded causing more damage to my car? Would they have made me skid further into the car infront, causing them more damage? Mumsnet recently carried out a survey to find out what us women know about their tyres and Michelin came up with some pretty awesome myth busting facts that may have some answers to my questions.

Do you remember these? Stackadoos from Letterbox

When we were asked to review the Stackadoos I was so excited, I used to love these blocks when I was a child and I couldn’t wait to get them and see what Noah did with them. Letterbox is a great website where you can buy some of the most fantastic toys, outdoor play products, home & school learning products and you can even buy personalised products. The Stackadoos come in a fun tub, which has been extremely useful for carrying the blocks around, we can easily take them to peoples houses and when we are ready to leave, pack the blocks into the tub and take them home. It makes them easy to tidy up at the end of the day too, so no matter how many blocks are around the lounge – they tidy up very easily, it’s great.
