So, I think summer is on the way! I am pretty sure of it, I have seen this yellow round thing in the sky a couple of times this year – so I know it is still up there somewhere. I know we haven’t even really got into spring properly yet, but I am starting to plan out my summer wardrobe and the things I need for our summer holiday.
We have finally booked up our first “summer” holiday for the year and I am really hoping that by the time June comes around it will be nice and sunny and summery – unlike the weather we are experiencing at the moment. Knowing England, we will have a nice hot October and November – it’s all a bit upside down isn’t it?
Nevertheless, it hasn’t put me off getting ready for our holiday to Wales with Nanny & Granddad. I need a few things really, a nice swimming costume or maybe I will even be a little daring and grab myself a tankini – to help cover up my baby belly (I can’t see it totally disappearing in 8 weeks!).
I also need to sort out my wardrobe, get up to date with the fashion this season and something that I feel comfortable in for our holiday – something that I can wear if it is hot and that I can wear with a cardigan or something like that in the evenings. I am a cardigan-holic!!!
I found a great website called Figleaves, which have a great swimwear range, and I really love their selection of tankinis as well. I haven’t worn my bikini since having Isla and as much as I love it, it will probably have to wait until next summer.
But I found a great shaping tankini on the Figleaves website: Sophina Rene Soft Cup Halter Tankini Top. It is a really great price and I love the shape of it, it will help to compliment my figure and the print is really bright and funky – I’m sure I’d be confident wearing this on our summer trip to Wales. Figleaves stock most of the major brands as well, so you’ve got much to choose from and for an added bonus at the minute – they have a 20% off offer on everything on the site, all you have to do is enter the code “TWENTY” at the checkout – easy as that!
I love going on walks, having nice picnics and soaking up the scenery around me, especially when I am at the coast and this year I would really love to take a picnic basket with us, so we can have our picnics in style.
Whilst surfing the net on the scout for the summer fashion, I came across the Herschel website and completely fell in love with this Sutton Stussy bag. I love the shape of the bag, it is perfect to carry the little bits you need with you on the beach or at the pool and the old style sailing bag shape will fit right in on our holiday. It has a removable shoulder strap too, I love shoulder strap bags when I am with the children – you just don’t have to worry about the bag as well as the kids.
I also really like this dress on the Figleaves website from Joules, it is a lovely style and these kinds of dresses really suit me – I am also loving navy’s and creams at the moment. I have a cream cardigan that would go perfectly with the dress for the evenings or windier days. The great thing about the style of the dress is that the belt effect under the chest will help to hide the little baby belly that I have and I will feel a lot more confident walking around in it.
Now for some shoes…
I have had my eye on these Hi Vamp Wedges from Next for a while, in nude of course, I really love them and it will definitely come in handy on our holiday; albeit might be a little tricky to walk around. They would go really nicely with the navy Joules dress and the Herschel bag – I might have some trouble walking too far in them, it’s been a while since I wore heels with any height, but I do love them.
My holiday bag wouldn’t be complete without some heels now would it?
Well, that’s got me started with some necessary purchases for one day of the holiday, now for the other days and evenings!
