☕️ I’ve spent the last 48 hours in a lovely 𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 for work. Conferences are brilliant for learning and networking, but they are so tiring. ⁣ ⁣ I’ve eaten loads and drunk far too much coffee… I wanted to bounce on the beds and run around revolving doors (like in Home Alone) but this hotel didn’t have those kinds of doors. 🎄 This is the perfect way to start the festive season… this 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹 at National Trust Wimpole Hall is absolutely breathtaking. ⁣ ⁣ I love the combination of beautiful landscape, mesmerising 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 and music that just fills your heart with happy, festive, memories. ⁣ ⁣ This is the second time we’ve been and it is definitely going to be our new Christmas 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. We love it!⁣ ⁣ This is an hour walk snipped into 90 seconds. 💻 Guess who’s got a 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲? Oh yes, that is me. Over 3 years of hard work has led me to this and I feel so proud of myself. Starting a degree during Covid and homeschooling children and working is just insane when I think back.⁣ ⁣ All that study time means I have a BSc Hons in 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲. I love that this is a universal degree, it means I can use it whatever my future holds. ⁣ ⁣ As it’s an apprenticeship, through my employer, I still have some work to do to finish off. But my certificate is en route… the hard work is done. I wouldn’t have been able to do this if it wasn’t for my employer giving me time to study and Hubby for giving me the space to work into the evenings and weekends. It’s a lot of time. And I will be forever grateful. ⁣ ⁣ I love learning and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do, as I left uni at 20 without my 𝗟𝗮𝘄 degree. It was my biggest regret leaving so close to the end. 🎆 Anyone else think 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 are super pretty but also just too loud? It’s a shame they come with such a bang! 𝘋𝘰 𝘐 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘭 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵? 🤣 ⁣ ⁣ Rambo was terrified of them, he would shake and not eat for days around this time of year. I often made him a den somewhere, so he could hide. It’s not nice seeing your 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 go through that. So we’ve never really embraced this occasion by going to a firework event. ⁣ ⁣ Instead we sit and watch them from the glass windows, where we’re warm and safe. I raised a glass of 𝗳𝗶𝘇𝘇 to my furbabies up in heaven tonight. Today the children had fun with their cousins, or 2nd cousins, I can’t actually quite work it out. They had fun anyway and Mummy got lots of work done whilst they made the house a bit of a mess – eek!

    It was lovely to see you all, you would have been surprised how quick we cleared up, only took us about 5 minutes. Its wasn’t that bad :-).
