What would you say when faced with that dreaded question “What are those animals doing Mummy?” when the birds and the bees are happening in the background. Thankfully I won’t have to cross this bridge, hopefully, for a little while longer but a lot of Mums and Dads have struggled in the past. Chessington World of Adventures have recently taken on ‘Birds and the Bees’ Consultant, Lisa Britton, who will be responsible for answering any questions about animal baby-making young visitors may have! … What an incredible job that must be?
Lisa’s appointment follows a huge baby boom at Chessington and the launch of new animal attraction ZUFARI: Ride into Africa!, which has seen children get up close and personal with the park’s animals, causing an increase in questions from inquisitive kids that parents were finding a bit tricky to answer!
Since Lisa’s appointment was announced on ITV News this morning, Chessington has been flooded with calls from parents asking if Lisa is able to explain the birds and the bees to their children, in order to save them the embarrassment. In light of this, Lisa is currently pulling together a list of the top ten tips to explain baby-making in an age-appropriate way.
