🧙‍♀️ Yay we finally made time to watch the new Hocus Pocus 2 movie and we absolutely loved it! It was a great way to kick off the countdown to Halloween. 

It was also the perfect opportunity to road test my new mug… which I absolutely adore. 

I’ve started to get the Autumn and Halloween decor out of the attic. The living room always feels full and homely at this time of year.

This took me forever to make but I loved doing it. I love being creative and I learnt to use CapCut which Isla absolutely loves. She squealed when I showed her this.

I have the template (which I might blog about as the one I followed wasn’t quite accurate) and I have a few sneaky ways of doing things!

Is there anything more relaxing and calming than this view? The sun setting over the sea and the calmness in the sea too.

Made me smile looking back at my Summer photos today. I’ve had a day of “cosy” as I drank far too much last night at my friends 40th party… I danced all night and walked home with bare feet. The signs of a good night!

I’ve not been out and danced in years. I literally can’t remember the last time I did that! It was a nice break from being Mum & Dad. Letting your hair down is sometimes the best medicine from a stressful few weeks.

I think it’s really important to love the space where you work, for you spend a long time working in it! When designing my home office area I kept thinking about what makes me happy…

I wanted a space dedicated to my desk. After working on makeshift spaces for 2 years it felt so nice to have a dedicated work space.

I wanted to be by the garden window so I can see the flowers and watch nature about it’s business. I have seen lots of birds and a few squirrels this Spring and Summer.

I wanted the right storage too. Working from home, studying and the blog all result in lots of things I need to put away. I wanted them to have a home. I’ve got the Kallax unit from IKEA with cupboards, drawers and box storage. It’s perfect!

I’ve been doing a bit of a Autumn clean in preparation for the impending season. I love Autumn, it’s my favourite and I want to start it with a clutter free office area (and mind too).

Anyone else feel more productive if their environment is less cluttered?

There are two things I love in this world…yoga and writing. So it goes without saying that I have spent a lot of time thinking about how beneficial yoga is to me. I spend hours on the computer focusing in on creativity. I sometimes forget to stop sitting in stagnancy. As I write all about yoga, helping others with their health and wellness, I sometimes forgetto take care of myself. It just takes a few minutes on the mat to counteract all the abuse I put on my body from being a full-timewriter. My mind, body, and soul are rejuvenated. Today was good, quite chilly but a good day. I had lots of work to do in the office, which kept me busy and that is always a good thing. Then after school we had clubs and usual homework routines. It would have been my half-brothers 30th birthday today, so I comforted Dad after an emotional day at the cemetery. It was nice to hear him talking about the happy things he remembers, despite the pain he is feeling. Yoga helped me to unleash my emotion and file it away in that brain of mine!

My body tells me when I am tired, when I am aching and need a good stretch and when I am feeling ready to tackle the world.
