🧙‍♀️ Yay we finally made time to watch the new Hocus Pocus 2 movie and we absolutely loved it! It was a great way to kick off the countdown to Halloween.

It was also the perfect opportunity to road test my new mug… which I absolutely adore.

I’ve started to get the Autumn and Halloween decor out of the attic. The living room always feels full and homely at this time of year.

Two questions:

👀 Have you noticed my little visitor to the living room?

🎥 Have you watched the new movie, what did you think? 🍿

May your autumn be full of blue skies and cool walks… bobble hats and family talks.
Fresh air in your lungs and a crunch at your feet… where the working week ends and the weekends meet!

I hope you had a lovely weekend and got out in the fresh air. I needed a chilled weekend and I feel refreshed for the week ahead. I need to get a good fitness routine going which I’m hoping to start tomorrow 🍂

🍂 So it might just be time for the bobble hats to come out of hiding… anyone else live in hats during the colder months?

It’s been so nice to wrap up in layers of cosy jumpers, boots and jackets this week. I love “sweater weather” so much! If that made you laugh, then you’re my kinda people.

What is your go to Autumnal outfit? I’m in the need for inspiration 🍂

If I was a….

This took me forever to make but I loved doing it. I love being creative and I learnt to use CapCut which Isla absolutely loves. She squealed when I showed her this.

I have the template (which I might blog about as the one I followed wasn’t quite accurate) and I have a few sneaky ways of doing things!

I’ve loved seeing everyone else’s version of this and so I had to do my own! And I wouldn’t change a thing…

What would you be? 🥰

Is there anything more relaxing and calming than this view? The sun setting over the sea and the calmness in the sea too.

Made me smile looking back at my Summer photos today. I’ve had a day of “cosy” as I drank far too much last night at my friends 40th party… I danced all night and walked home with bare feet. The signs of a good night!

I’ve not been out and danced in years. I literally can’t remember the last time I did that! It was a nice break from being Mum & Dad. Letting your hair down is sometimes the best medicine from a stressful few weeks.

What do you do to unwind?

I think it’s really important to love the space where you work, for you spend a long time working in it! When designing my home office area I kept thinking about what makes me happy…

I wanted a space dedicated to my desk. After working on makeshift spaces for 2 years it felt so nice to have a dedicated work space.

I wanted to be by the garden window so I can see the flowers and watch nature about it’s business. I have seen lots of birds and a few squirrels this Spring and Summer.

I wanted the right storage too. Working from home, studying and the blog all result in lots of things I need to put away. I wanted them to have a home. I’ve got the Kallax unit from IKEA with cupboards, drawers and box storage. It’s perfect!

I’ve been doing a bit of a Autumn clean in preparation for the impending season. I love Autumn, it’s my favourite and I want to start it with a clutter free office area (and mind too).

Anyone else feel more productive if their environment is less cluttered?

Nearly time for numero 2….

With numero 2 very close around the corner, I figured it was time to make sure I had the baby essentials in place: http://babyhuddle.com/baby-essentials/  When Noah was a newborn we lived at our other house so I am sure there are lots of things that I haven’t done in this house that need to be sorted ready for our newest edition. Bibs, Safety gates, baby baths, cups and baby toys are all things that I need to get sorted… I will be going through Noah’s toys and bits and pieces and sorting out what can be re-used with the newborn and I also need to work out what I need to buy as new items. We need to buy new bottles and nibs for the newborn as Noah has used the Tommee Tippee bottles since he was born and we upgraded all the nibs to the older stage so Noah couldn’t…

Can’t breastfeed, Won’t breastfeed!

Can’t breastfeed, Won’t breastfeed!

Babyhuddle recently approached me about trying out their fab new site and writing a guest blog post and I am very glad they did, the website is great and the idea of creating lists of products for other mummies-to-be and mummies is a ingenious idea. After a few moments thinking about what a good topic would be to write about, that would be a) helpful to other mums-to-be, b) relevant to Babyhuddle and c) easy to create a list of products for... I had it: Expressing!! It made me think back to Noah's first two weeks, which in turn, made me feel very smiley. I had no idea I was going to express, until a week into Noah's appearance, he just used me as a dummy and didn't feed properly from me. At 2am until 4am some nights, I would just have to stand by his cot rocking him, whilst he was attached to ...
