So I have been challenged by Bonprix to get my staple pieces from my wardrobe and match it up to items on the Bonprix website to make two different styles using the one key garment. I always do this and have recently had a rather large clear out of the wardrobe so I am definitely up for making the most out of the clothes I have left.

What is a capsule wardrobe?

There was recently a post on the Bonprix blog about how to create a capsule wardrobe, the main point is to have a good clear out of your wardrobe and keep some key, staple items like a pencil skirt and a specific blouse. Making sure these items co-ordinate together! The idea is that you can create multiple outfits and looks with these key pieces, accessorising differently each time and you get the best value out of your wardrobe too! So what staple piece am I choosing for this challenge, the little black dress of course: Knightsbridge party dress, such a great price at Β£29.99.

My Bonprix style 1

staple item style 1

Gloockler gemstone necklace / Sparkling evening clutch / Studded wrap strap watch / Patent open side courtsFaux fur coat

This style I have glammed it up, completely, this is the kind of outfit I would wear out with my husband and our friends if we were going out for a meal and drinks in town, which we do quite frequently. I have selected vibrant accessories and a jacket which I thought would look good out. I always want to dress to impress my husband, so this is what I had in mind when choosing these accessories. I love the faux fur jacket, it just screamed out at me and although I normally go for sparkly shoes, I fell in love with those court shoes.

My Bonprix style 2

staple item style 2

Button waist leggings / Quilted high boots / Damask print scarf / Metal bead necklace  / Short wool coat

This style I have transformed the dress into a more corporate feel, this is something I would wear to work, especially approaching Christmas and the office Christmas lunch is coming up. I love the smart coat and the colourful scarf (I am a little obssessed with those) and I am loving the leggings with knee high boots at the moment, so this is a nice way to smarten the dress up. It is appropriate for work, still looks fantastic and I hope I would still turn my husbands eye!

This post was created for Bonprix to enter their fantastic style competition.
