It was very surreal. Have you ever been in that position where you have sun on one side and dark grey storms on the other? Itโ€™s amazing how they contrast. As much as I love this photo. Seeing the kiddies having fun, it does bring the memories of what happened 10 minutes later: we got caught in a hail storm. It was horrible. We all got soaked through... even the dogs were shaking! I adore the Autumn sunshine, it paints everything such a beautiful shade. A hint of gold sparkles across the land. Then in the mornings it sparkles with the crisp drops of frost. The weather has been amazing over the past week. I truly love this time of year where we can put on our big bobble hats and walk amongst natureโ€™s beauty. Itโ€™s #mindfulness at its best. Not only are you taking in the moment but youโ€™re at one with it. However; at this precise moment the rest of my gang were having Berry fights right behind me. Launching berries at eachother seemed the most logical thing to do on our afternoon walk! ๐Ÿคฃ Iโ€™m practicing the mantra โ€œAmongst the chaos there is calmโ€. ๐Ÿ‚ Happy Thanksgiving everyone... I hope youโ€™re day has been filled with gratitude and loved ones. Ok, ironic that the tiers were announced today and upset the nation... however, Iโ€™m trying to stay optimistic. How do you feel?โฃ โฃ I had a nice 2 hour walk with my furbabies this morning, which was just lovely. Itโ€™s nice to soak up the beautiful frosty mornings.โฃ โฃ My friend surprised me with this homemade pumpkin pie this afternoon. Itโ€™s quite possibly the most thoughtful thing. Iโ€™ve never tried it and I was asking about thanksgiving. The traditions in the US sound a lot of fun.โฃ โฃ One thing that did make us laugh: in the US they have a tradition called โ€œ๐“๐ฎ๐ซ๐ค๐ž๐ฒ ๐“๐ซ๐จ๐ญ๐ฌโ€. Which is basically a 5k race in the morning of thanksgiving. Burn off the calories before the big feast. I had to explain to my friend what โ€œthe trotsโ€ meant in the UK. Oh how we laughed. Iโ€™ve dared her to wear her turkey trots tee next year and see how people stare!โฃ โฃ To anyone that doesnโ€™t know, ๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ญ๐ฌ mean diarrhoea in the UK. Iโ€™m now wondering if this derived from the turkey trots... Iโ€™ll have to investigate.โฃ โฃ ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ค๐ข๐ง ๐ฉ๐ข๐ž was a hit with everyone. Isla absolutely adored it and I cannot believe weโ€™ve never tried it before. It will definitely be on the Constant menu again...โฃ โฃ I hope everyone has had something to be thankful for today. Despite the pandemic & the horrors thatโ€™s bringing. ๐ŸŽ„ Youโ€™ve heard of a Spring clean... well this is my ๐๐ซ๐ž๐‚๐ก๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฆ๐š๐ฌ ๐œ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ง. I give everything a thorough clean before I put the tree up!โฃ โฃ I thought Iโ€™d have some fun with my new @vaxcleanhome too. On the eve of thanksgiving itโ€™s definitely got my thinking about what Iโ€™m #grateful for. These 5 are at the top of my list, of course so is my cat, I absolutely love my familam. My babies have done me proud this year. Theyโ€™ve shown resilience, compassion, kindness and above all patience. Someone said to me today that because I am all of those things: I will embed this into my kids foundations. Iโ€™d never thought about this before. It made me feel proud. Of myself and Hubby. Weโ€™re raising these somewhat feral tiny humans into well grounded and thoughtful people. They embrace everything that is thrown at them and for that I will always be grateful. On the eve of thanksgiving...

Although you probably wouldnโ€™t think it, to look at me because I always dress quite conservatively, I love a #pattern. Bold. Striking. Daring. When we bought this house last year I knew I wanted bold flooring where possible and so far itโ€™s going well. This is our beautiful flooring from @harveymaria - itโ€™s a luxury vinyl tile that just looks amazing and feels nice to walk on too. This particular pattern is โ€œLattice Tarnโ€ from the Dee Hardwicke range. This room is the utility and sees a lot of traffic throughout the day. Muddy football boots... muddy paw prints... dog food... dirty laundry... the list goes on. But, it is so easy to wipe clean that it always looks brand new again. I canโ€™t wait to show it off properly and do a before and after reels of our utility room. Iโ€™ve also got some shots of how it was installed (professionally made I add). Itโ€™s turned a room I didnโ€™t care about into a room I love. I might just get an armchair for the utility room next, so I can sit and stare at it a little more! #gifted. Although you probably wouldnโ€™t think...

Anyone else feel like their bones are blocks of ice? Or is it just me. Yesterday was so mild, yet I still had my coat and bobble hat on. Today felt like I woke up in Antarctica. I really feel the #cold and Iโ€™ve noticed that more so whilst Iโ€™ve been working from home. I think the difference in the office is that I walked around more. Walked for meetings, coffee and to speak to people. Nowadays I click to meetings and speaking to people... I wish I could click for coffee too ๐Ÿ™ˆ. Lazy!!! So, my plan is to do more walking throughout the day. Even if I walk around the house, picking up the 98,000 odd socks that get thrown around, in between meetings; should warm me up a bit. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? Despite my frozeness today I did enjoy seeing the frost this morning. It was just beautiful. The crispy autumn floor and mist across the field, it looked magical. And made me feel quite Christmassy!
