The views yesterday were absolutely stunning. Woolacoombe you didn’t disappoint.

The sea was so calm, which I loved but the kiddies wanted waves to bodyboard through. I actually went in the sea. It was quite warm in the shallows.

As the sun reached near its setting place the reflection on the sea was mesmerising. I could have sat there all evening.

More beach days please 🙏🏻 Have you been to the beach this Summer?

My sunset views. The entire day spent travelling was totally worth it. Fresh sea air in my lungs…

We are all together again. Happy holiday! ☀️

Are you travelling around the UK this Summer?

It’s not quite the Devonshire coast, but it’s not bad for on my doorstep. Whilst Hubby has been in the sea all day with the kids, we’ve been chilling in the evening sun.

It was nice in the park as it’s soo open. The breeze cooled us down. I sat there with the dogs & it felt like we were on our own in the park. No one around. So peaceful.

Did you get out in the sun today?

When Hubby sends you a photo of your babies washing up… Isla cooked them dinner and cleaned up afterwards too. I’m impressed.

It’s lovely that they are starting to get more involved. They’re so grown up. And they look super happy too!

Are you camping this Summer?

Last night I went to see the new movie Where the Crawdads Sing and I absolutely loved it. The music, the filmography and the characters were all perfect.

It made me think about how the simple things in life are sometimes the best. The Marsh Girl learned to fend for herself and despite all the twists and turns she survived. I won’t say too much for people who are going to watch it.

It reminded me of our little spot at the lake, and how happy I am when we’re there. The kids can spend hours playing in this very spot. Just happy being. It’s a freeing feeling that we don’t often feel these days.

Have you got a favourite spot that makes you feel free?

Todays photo prompt is skies and I couldn’t resist reposting this one. I love the clouds and the pretty pattern they make and how the rock pools make everything seemed camouflage.

We’ve got 2 weeks of annual leave booked over the summer but nothing booked on it yet. Finding holidays is rather stressful at the last minute. But we’ve got the dogs sorted, thanks to my lovely friend and all we need to do now is find the right deal.

I am looking forward to a break; I hurt my ears jumping into the lake from a 2.5 metre drop at the aqua park and my ears / head hurt. I’ve nearly finished my assignment for uni, only 1 more to go in September and then year 2 is complete. Works been very full on for the last couple of months. And, if you saw my stories, my sisters cat died suddenly in his sleep this morning. It’s devastating. I want to fix him and make it all better. It’s horrible feeling useless like that!

Let’s hope the rest of Summer brightens up and we can make happy memories.

What have you got booked over the holidays?
