Win a huge chocolate hamper worth £50 for Father's Day

What better gift for Daddy on Father's Day than a hamper of goodies, in this case a hamper of chocolate from Cadbury Gifts Direct. It is a fun competition that involves the children getting a little creative.  VIEW the POST

Not such a great week for #Fitness

Not such a great week for #Fitness

This week has been a bit all over the place, and unfortunately my fitness plans have gone right out of the window. It all started last week with firstly the gym classes being fully booked and therefore I didn't get a place in them and also our poor little Snoopy got poorly and all my concentrations went on him getting better. The first couple of days I was a mess with worry, as you would expect. So along came the lack of sleep, the worry and the comfort eating. A downward spiral. VIEW the POST

This year I didn’t want to do a huge party with a lot of children running around, mainly because Daddy was away the weekend of Isla’s birthday but sometimes its just nice to make a special effort for our family. #Recipe – the best chewy chocolate cookies

This is a perfect recipe for large chocolate chunk and chewy cookies. They are great for over Easter and for wrapping up in tissue paper and giving to family too. These are just two items that you need to keep in your baking cupboard for when you get the urge to bake.  VIEW the POST

Probably, but in between precious time with our chocolate eggs we should perhaps make more productive use of the time. Such as: VIEW the POST

#Recipe – Creme Egg chocolate fudge cake

I was thinking of ways to use Creme eggs in my baking, I love Creme eggs and what with Easter just around the corner I thought I would experiment. Now, it is not the most perfect looking cake, I know that, but the thought was there and next time I will perfect my icing skills. So essentially I made a chocolate fudge cake, when sliced through the middle it looks like an egg with the whites and the yoke. The outside is covered in chocolate icing and then Renshaw Melts to colour the outside to look like a Creme Egg wrapper. I made a video of me making the cake:
