A delicious biscuit that snaps with a crunch.

Ingredients

g
unsalted butter
softened

caster sugar

large eggs
lightly whisked

plain flour

tsp
baking powder

types of Food colouring
I used red, yellow and green
Instructions
In a food processor, blend butter and sugar until it is light and fluffy.
Gradually add the lighted whisked eggs and blend until combined.
Sift in the flour and baking powder, blend for a couple of minutes until mixed into a dough.
Wrap the dough in clingfilm and chill for 2 hours.
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees (gas mark 3).
Line a couple of baking sheets with baking paper.
Split dough into three.
Mix the food colouring with the three bits of dough, using your fingers.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin.
Cut leaf shapes with a knife.
Roll out sausage shapes and spiral together to make the snails back, then add another sausage at the bottom for the snail.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Leave to cool and eat. Yummy!
Notes
Use gel colouring as the usual food colouring I used did not take very well, as you can see.
