Fruit Scone

A yummy fruit scone recipe
Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 12 minutes
Servings 12 scones

Ingredients

  • 225 g self raising flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 55 g butter
  • 25 g caster sugar
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 beaten egg

Instructions

  • Mix the flour and salt together
  • Add the sugar and sultanas, mix well
  • Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and add the milk
  • Mix this up until you form a dough
  • Roll out dough and cut using the scone cutters
  • Place evenly on a baking sheet and spread the beaten egg over the top
  • Bake for 12 minutes (or until browning)
  • Slice, add butter, jam and cream if you fancy!
