The view from our sofa in the morning is the best. Squirrels, moorhens, ducks, deer and lots of birds… it’s amazing to sit here and watch them.

I love that our garden is full of trees and the lake. It’s meant we’ve seen more wildlife than normal.

We’ve been feeding the deers berries and lots of nuts and seeds for all the other animals. The squirrels are loving the peanuts!

There’s a huge family of geese here too. They have been coming for seed in the evenings.

The squirrels and deer are so tame. We’re quite shocked at how close they get. A squirrel took a peanut from my hand. Made my day!

🦌 I’m so happy; after 10 minutes of being in our lodge the deer popped up in the garden. There was 2 in total. They looked so cute. I loved their V shapes on their noses. They came about a metre close. So tame.

We’ve made the most out of @centerparcsuk break so far. Table tennis, badminton, Bella Italia and an evening swim in the most amazing pool area ever.

I can’t wait to go in the pool tomorrow. And play more badminton 🏸 (my favourite sport).

So far, outside our back window we’ve seen the 2 deer, lots of ducks, geese, Moorhens and a heron. A few different breeds of geese too.

We also saw a tiny mouse darting all over the woodland floor in search of food. He was very cute. 🐭

Anyone else love being surrounded by so much nature?

Todays #mummyphotoaday prompt is view. I’d love to see your favourite views! Whether that’s a landscape, person or an object.

This is one of my favourite views on a dog walking route we found near our home. The sky looks like it goes on for miles. The big yellow sun painting everything with its golden glow.

You can just see my fam in the distance walking the dogs. 🐾

We made the most of Summer Solstice last night. We took Rambo for a walk and soaked up some sun and fresh air.

It’s the first time we’d all been out together for a dog walk in a long time. It’s really nice as the kids always open up and talk about random things.

I loved the colours in this photo. It was golden hour and I managed to hide the sun behind the bushes. They’re looking into the pond. Not sure Rambo understood the assignment.

Did you make it out for an evening walk?

With Summer Solstice tomorrow it’s got me reminiscing about our last trip abroad and hoping we get some super sun this year too!

I love flying. Sun. Sandy beaches. Adventures in new places. Eating new foods and meeting new people.

My favourite bit is watching the kiddies have fun together with Daddy… 💛

This time 2 weeks ago we went to @rumbleliveactiongaming for their Jubilee campout. It was amazing. The campfire set up with pretty fairy lights, the moody forest atmosphere. It was just the perfect.

I find it really calming to just sit in amongst the trees with the breeze through your hair.

We love this place and Noah’s football team are having their end of season session tomorrow. They will love it. 🌳

I can now enjoy the weekend too as I handed my assignment in this evening. ☺️ 7 hours in total but it’s done. Phew.

What are you looking forward to this weekend?

🌳 Every path that you take will inevitably be full of ups and downs. The one thing you must hold on to is that “nothing worth doing is easy”.

I needed to hear this today as I am coming to the end of the week, an assignment due and a busy week of work. The last 2 months have been a lot of uni work, I’ve had COVID and work has been extremely busy.

When I finish the assignment tomorrow, it means I will have caught up and I’ll be on track for the rest of the Summer. It takes one bit of pressure off.

This is all on top of kids, hubby, house and blog!

📝 One trick of mine is to write a list, when I feel like I’ve got too much to think about and it helps me to “park” thoughts and focus on my priorities.

It’s hard. But it will be so worth it when I, hopefully, get my degree. 🤞🏻

Did you need to hear this?

My working from home style

My working from home style

I struggled with what to wear at the beginning of lockdown, all of a sudden my workwear started collecting dust in the wardrobe. Loungewear and comfortable tee's became the new work wear, no one really sees what you wear (if you turn the conference camera off). However, as lockdown continued and as my plan to work from home is long term, I want to break out of the loungewear a little. So here is my working from home style... Autumn edition. VIEW the POST

Where confidence really comes from

Where confidence really comes from

Everybody wants to be more confident. That’s because, no matter how confident you might currently be, you could always have more confidence. In a sense, this should fill you with a profound sense of hope, as it means that you can always become the confident person that you have often dreamed of being. But in order to do that, you have to get really clear on what exactly confidence is, and most importantly, where it really comes from. In this article, we are going to take a look at where confidence really comes from, so that you can hope to develop it further within yourself. VIEW the POST

My top tips for working from home

As you know, I am a stationery fan and I love trying new ways of working and techniques. I have worked from home, regularly, since I had the children and I have been lucky enough to work for a company that were flexible for this. Since lockdown in March 2020, I have worked from home every day and I have had to find different ways of working to suit the whole family. We are all working from home!

Getting the most from a gig economy

Getting the most from a gig economy

In the United States, nearly 14 million self-employed people work from home. A majority of these are mums that are trying to balance two lives while generating income for the family. Today’s digital global economies have opened the door to new opportunities in the form of e-commerce. Social media and dedicated work sites have created a “gig economy” that lets the work-at-home parent have the best of both worlds.VIEW the POST
