To help celebrate National Coffee Week Russell Hobbs sent us their new coffee machine, theΒ Pump Espresso Machine, it’s great: it is like having a coffee house in the kitchen – I have a new gadget and I love it!

It look’s stylish and sleek, the silver and black design looks perfect in the retro style kitchen that we have in the Constant household. It makes espresso’s andΒ cappuccino’sΒ – which is my favourite type of coffee drink, as you can imagine I was very excited to try it out.Β

Easy to use

The Pump Espresso Machine is so easy to use, it really does make having that cafe culture at home, so much easier – I might start charging for coffee! You have some great features on the coffee espresso machine, like for example the steam wand for frothing milk and the removable drip tray so that you do not make a mess – that is if you are like me and quite impatient whilst waiting for your coffee. It has a single & double stainless steel filter which means that it will be durable and it caters for 1 cup or 2.

It’s a real addition to the armoury of any coffee connoisseur seeking to recreate the enticing tastes and aromas of a Milanese cafe, at home.

The first time I used the machine it took me a little longer than the second time, as I had to get used to the different options and where things go, but now I can make a coffee in minutes and it really does taste as good as when I go to a coffee house.

How does it work?

The best way to see how the machine works is for me to show you and I have made this little video for you:

I am currently looking for an espresso/cap machines for my husbands birthday, which has come and gone, it is taking me so long to find the right machine. I have looked at the Russell Hobbs and am wondering if you are still using one, and what you think? My head is in a spin with looking at products and then reviews – i think i have found the right machine and then, what do you know, it gets slated in reviews!! AAAGH, just want to get the darn thing sorted. I am in South Africa and so do not have as much choice as in the UK, ie i wanted a Gaggia and we cant get them here. Help, please let me know your views.
