I couldn’t wait to try the new Cricut Easypress 2, I had heard a lot about the product but never had the chance to try it. It is amazing. It’s perfect for iron-on projects and crafting up something specular. It’s a lot safer to use too. I based my design on the heart shirt found in the Cricut Design Space if you want to try your own.

Cricut Design Space - Heart Shirt

First of all I chose to use the metallic pink iron-on transfer and the glitter iron-on transfer. I thought they would look great together on a t-shirt for Isla. She loves these colours and clothes look cute on her with hearts on them.

So I followed the pattern on the Cricut Design Space, use the metallic pink instead of the black and the pink glitter instead of the gold glitter. It was such an easy project to create and the t-shirt has such a huge impact. I love it. The Cricut Maker cuts it out so easily too.

I had to line up the two shapes on the t-shirt, in order to make the heart shape complete. This was the tricky bit as if it wasn’t in line it would bug me forever! Once in place it was time to turn on the Easypress 2 and transfer the t-shirt on to the special Easypress mat. It made it so much easier to transfer as I could place the heart shape directly on the mat and I new the Easypress would cover the project.

The Easypress 2 is such a great item to have. You set the temperature you require, 145 degrees for this iron-on transfer material. It is so precise. Then you can set the timer for the Easypress 2. I set the timer for 30 seconds and then did it again for another 30 seconds. Just to be safe.

The Easypress 2 sits on an insulated safety base, which means I can use it on any surface and it is protected. It has a huge handle too, which makes it really easy to use and comfortable too. You can make a production line of fabulous items with this awesome contraption.

The main thing I love about the Cricut Easypress 2 is the safety feature: if it is inactive for 10 minutes it will just turn it self off. How amazing is that? No panicking that you have left it on, phew!

You can find out more about the new Cricut Easypress 2 on the Cricut website:Β home.cricut.comΒ and find some of the little extras that you can buy too. The Easypress 2 is Β£150. It is such a fabulous buy for those budding crafters out there, especially if you have little ones running around the house like I do.

What do you think I should make next with my Cricut Maker? I would love to know in the comments below or on social media!

What do you think?
