Today is world photography day #WorldPhotographyDay, one of my favourite kind of days. I love taking photos and going to great, yet sometimes silly, lengths to get the best photos. There are a lot of fun articles flying around the internet today celebrating photography and the lengths phtoographers go to, to get that perfect shot. I’ve stood on tables, climbed up ladders, lay down on the floor, crawled into tight spaces all to get that perfect shot and get involved in the action. Sometimes they do not work, sometimes they do! What I love about photography, is now that I am more experienced, usually I get the photo result of what I envisioned in the first place. This is something that is quite hard to do.
Yesterday we took another trip up to the the Lavender Farm in Hitchin and I took some more lovely photos of the children, with my point and shoot. You can see the huge differences from that camera and the Canon camera “big camera” we took last week, but still lovely photos none the less. I could picture the shots I wanted, both video and photo and I just waited for the most opportune moments and grabbed them. I even positioned myself and the kids in the poses I wanted and asked my sister to take the photo – because I knew what result I wanted, and I got them! This is my favourite shot from yesterday:
