Today has been all about change. A new chapter for

Today has been all about change. A new chapter for the Constant household as Daddy embarks on a new job.

He’s had 2 weeks off to recharge and get himself ready to take on his new challenge. He’s done a lot of walking, cycling and out on the river. By lunchtime he had that spring in his step as he walked through the house. It was lovely to see.

His new job is based by Buckingham Palace which is amazing. I’d love to work near there, can you imagine the photo opportunities each lunchtime. He’s only going to travel into London twice a week though as working from home is definitely becoming the “norm”.

New job means new routines and I’m sure things will change around over the next couple of weeks. Until we find our feet, it’s just a case of being patient and giving these things time.

We’re very proud of you Daddy, jumping into something new and we can’t wait to see where this new adventure takes you.

We have had a lovely day; the weather has been jus

We have had a lovely day; the weather has been just lovely. In total we cycled 22km, which is the most I’ve cycled for a long time. It’s such a lovely route and we’ve found lots of yellow fields to check out.

We cycled to Grafham, stopped for a picnic by the lake. Had an obligatory ice cream and play a little frisbee. A family nearby had a bubble machine which entertained the kiddies for a while. They looked so pretty glistening against the sun.

It was just before we took off to come home that it went a little downhill; I managed to twist my ankle in a hole whilst playing frisbee. I couldn’t walk on it. I still can’t. However, I had to cycle home! 🙄

I have a lovely bruise forming on my ankle and I’m so cross with myself. Minutes before I had warned the kiddies of said holes!

I’m hoping if I rest it tonight and tomorrow I can run again on Tuesday, albeit it’s not looking likely!

Isn’t it exciting now that we can get out and ex

Isn’t it exciting now that we can get out and explore a little more than before? We’ve had a trip to High Lodge in Thetford, but other than that we’ve kept to the same local places and our home. Well, that’s as a family.

Isla had her first gym class this morning and Daddy took Noah for his second match of the season. The kiddies are so much happier now they can do their activities again. We can also travel outside the town!

I did look over at the queue for the shops whilst Isla was in gym, however there was about 40+ people queuing so I decided against it. I only needed socks and not that desperately. It does put me off going anywhere for a few weeks. The barbers all have long queues and the pub gardens are all full up!

Hopefully it will calm down over the next few months and we’ll get to eat out for the first time in nearly a year.

#gifted And she’s back.... look at that grin! Is

#gifted And she’s back.... look at that grin! Isla absolutely adores Gymfinity. She isn’t as excited about any other club, but Gymfinity she literally bounces!

She’s in the Beginners Gymnastics class and they assess your ability as you go to each class and you move through the different levels. She wowed them all with her cartwheels before Christmas and I’m hoping her enthusiasm will help her smash the classes! Not literally.

Last weekend I, finally, finished off Noah’s bed

Last weekend I, finally, finished off Noah’s bedroom. I gave him a #boys space that he’s very happy with. If you swipe through the photos there is a video showing you the before and after in one.

I have loved transforming this space for him. He has got quite a lot of stuff, so we needed to give him plenty of storage.

We got the units and shelving from IKEA (along with the obligatory candles). When we moved in we stripped the wallpaper off, it took forever. It was painted white. We got the carpet from Carpetright, it was an offcut and Hubby fit it with his Dad!

Then last weekend his beautifully crafted desk and chair arrived, it’s from @littlefolksfurniture. You can buy them as a set or separately. There will be more details over on the blog at the weekend.

Then I got a tester pot of the trusted @frenchicpaint - it’s the chalk wall paint and the colour is Smooth Operator. I love it because it’s so easy to paint with and I love the ultra Matt finish.

It’s safe to say Noah is one happy little man. It’s taken 2 years but we did it.

Do you remember the time I spent hours cutting the grass and setting up the garden? When the sun shone and skies were blue. Oh, and it was warm. Getting ready for all our garden visitors...

...We’ve had one lot of visitors in those 3 weeks 🤣🤭 I didn’t mind doing the garden though as it always looks pretty when it’s just been done.

I have a little system; yes I’m one of those linear grass cutters. I have to do it in lines and it has to be as neat as possible. Then I go around the edges with my grass scissors and neaten it all up. It’s definitely a labour of love.

I really want a huge garden, but goodness knows how long that would take to cut and maintain every week in the warmer months! 🤔

The kiddies are in that tent, sheltering from the sun, somewhere!

Who else loves the smell of freshly cut grass?

If you had to choose one happy place, where would

If you had to choose one happy place, where would it be? I think this is a really hard question to answer. Namely because I have lots...

I love being out in the sunshine. Fresh air. Gentle breeze in my hair. Nature all around me. Kids rambling to my side. Possibly even a long hike to explore it all.

But then I think about how I love a really hot bubbly bath... with a glass of fizz and my favourite tv shows on the iPad. Or, how I love lying in bed with my kindle reading until my eyes close their shutters. Snuggling with my furbabies.

I also love just watching the kids play and explore. When we go to the beach I just sit back and watch them. Listen to them. They are funny and creative. Reminds me of when I used to play as a child and conjure up these fabulous imaginary things. Watching them giggle at Daddy, being silly, is probably the best sound in the entire world!

Today, it was about a hot cup of coffee and seeing a friend. Outside of course. Brgh. 🥶

See, it’s really hard to choose one happy place. Or are you the opposite? I’d love to know!

I love this photo. I’m looking forward to getting many more like it over the warmer sunny days.

The kiddies clubs start back up this week, they are very excited. Cubs, drama and gym, along with football training and matches... it’s nice for things to start opening up. The kiddies really need the regular exercise and socialisation.

I can’t wait to start exploring further afield again; beaches, hiking somewhere new and taking in as many different landscapes as I can. I’m hoping we can do a few long weekends over the coming months. Explore a different piece of the Country each time.

Other than that, we also can’t wait to do activities closer to home: like swimming, cinema and the trampoline park!

Today has been all about change. A new chapter for

Today has been all about change. A new chapter for the Constant household as Daddy embarks on a new job.

He’s had 2 weeks off to recharge and get himself ready to take on his new challenge. He’s done a lot of walking, cycling and out on the river. By lunchtime he had that spring in his step as he walked through the house. It was lovely to see.
