If you had to choose one happy place, where would it be? I think this is a really hard question to answer. Namely because I have lots...

I love being out in the sunshine. Fresh air. Gentle breeze in my hair. Nature all around me. Kids rambling to my side. Possibly even a long hike to explore it all.

But then I think about how I love a really hot bubbly bath... with a glass of fizz and my favourite tv shows on the iPad. Or, how I love lying in bed with my kindle reading until my eyes close their shutters. Snuggling with my furbabies.

I also love just watching the kids play and explore. When we go to the beach I just sit back and watch them. Listen to them. They are funny and creative. Reminds me of when I used to play as a child and conjure up these fabulous imaginary things. Watching them giggle at Daddy, being silly, is probably the best sound in the entire world!

Today, it was about a hot cup of coffee and seeing a friend. Outside of course. Brgh. 🥶

I love this photo. I’m looking forward to getting many more like it over the warmer sunny days.

The kiddies clubs start back up this week, they are very excited. Cubs, drama and gym, along with football training and matches... it’s nice for things to start opening up. The kiddies really need the regular exercise and socialisation.

I can’t wait to start exploring further afield again; beaches, hiking somewhere new and taking in as many different landscapes as I can. I’m hoping we can do a few long weekends over the coming months. Explore a different piece of the Country each time.

Other than that, we also can’t wait to do activities closer to home: like swimming, cinema and the trampoline park!

Today came as a surprise to me, that won’t surpr

Today came as a surprise to me, that won’t surprise some of you. I didn’t realise the kiddies had a day at home until last minute. They do not start back to school until tomorrow.

So I started work earlier, I took a longer lunch break and finished work earlier and we’ve made the most of it.

The kiddies enjoyed park time after I finished work, it’s nice because we can walk the dogs and visit the park at the same time. Lunchtime the kids chose their dinner & dessert... we also had a subway lucky. Their vegan-ball subs are absolutely deeeeeelicious.

I made myself a little desk set up this evening as I recycled Noah’s old desk. I’m thinking a little Frenchic project might be underway on Thursday!

Tonight is a meal and movie night in prep for school tomorrow. Other than that we haven’t really made any more plans. I’m assuming lots of places will be booked up over the next few weeks so we’ll ease ourselves in to “normal” life.

Our al fresco today consisted of a family bike rid

Our al fresco today consisted of a family bike ride at the forest, picnic by the car & quick run around the playground. It was a much needed change of scenery and a glorious afternoon. Albeit, rather chilly.

The cycle route finishes with the “pump track” which is the bumpy track in the video. The kids love it. I tried it and positively 💩 myself! So I decided to film them instead.

I was hoping we’d have a nice weekend of entertaining in the garden but with the weather forecast for sun, clouds, sleet, snow and thunder we didn’t make any plans 🤣

If the last 48 hours have taught me anything it is:

Don’t take loved ones for granted. Hold them close. Listen to them. Watch them. Take time to understand them.

Notice the things they don’t say. Show them that you’re there for them. Make the most of them.

Do something different. Look up, change perspective, you might discover something new.

With HRH His Royal Highness Prince Philip passing and the Queen losing her true love... and then Nikki Grahame dying from Anorexia. It just breaks my heart, both in very different ways.

We are always good enough. We are always strong enough. We need to remember this always!

So tonight I’ve #framed the new Anti-Bacterial Slime from @canaltoys. This unique, new, anti-bacterial slime kills 99.9% of germs and lasts up to 1 month.

Sanitising hands is in everyone’s forethought at the moment, what the pandemic and now kiddies can play and clean their hands at the same time. Slimeeeeee-tastic!

Isla absolutely loves slime, she will play with it for hours and it’s such a comfort to know that she is keeping her hands clean at the same time.

We had a #girls day today... it was nice to have t $We had a #girls day today... it was nice to have this little lady all to myself. We had some nice conversations, snuggles and made each other smile. We also visited Grandma, Isla’s great grandma, and my Mumma, Nanna. A real girls day! Isn’t it funny, that when you have a second child, you relish the times you have with them alone. As, with Isla, I didn’t get any time with her alone. Not like I did Noah. Noah had me for the first 18 months of his life. When Isla was born, Noah was there everyday. And when I returned to work they both went to Day Nursery, together. So I didn’t get “maternity leave” with just Isla. If I’d have thought about that more before falling pregnant, it might have made me want to wait a little longer. Who knows. I’m very grateful to have such a kind, thoughtful, creative and entertaining baby girl. Who is going to be 9 years old in 1 month. This photo was from our last staycation in Devon. I love it. She looks quite grown up. What are you drawn to when you buy a bouquet? Are

What are you drawn to when you buy a bouquet? Are you an all one colour person? Pastels? Vibrant? Mix match? I find it fascinating that the choice of flowers we buy can indicate a lot about our personality. I also choose colours. Purples mainly. I love this bouquet though with its huge pops of colour.

I love staring at the petals, I put the macro lens on the camera and experiment taking intricate detailed photos. I think flowers are my favourite subject.

Photos of the kiddies in amongst beautiful flowers is also a fond favourite. I’m hoping to renew my NT membership soon so I can take the kiddies to the fabulous gardens and houses near where we live.

Lots of the flowers in this bunch grow in my own garden. I was lucky to inherit a 40 year old well kept garden with this house. I have so many beautiful plants and flowers growing, it looks so beautiful from April to November. I’m hoping to get some nice photos of what’s growing, including the close up shots.

If you had to choose one happy place, where would

If you had to choose one happy place, where would it be? I think this is a really hard question to answer. Namely because I have lots...

I love being out in the sunshine. Fresh air. Gentle breeze in my hair. Nature all around me. Kids rambling to my side. Possibly even a long hike to explore it all.

We had a #girls day today... it was nice to have t $We had a #girls day today... it was nice to have this little lady all to myself.
