A little break in between the dark grey rain clouds and showers... we had a nice chilled day today. We finished our school work (just Maths & English today) by 10am and then watched The Incredible Hulk.

We’re making our way through the Marvel movies in chronological order. I’ll share it on my stories if you’re interested. I’ve never seen them and so far I’m loving them. Iron man is my favourite. I’ve always loved Robert Downey Jr movies. Have you ever seen In Dreams? If not. You should.

We went for a long walk this afternoon with Nanny & Grandad. We only got caught in 2 showers which was good. The kids still went paddling in the river. They’re crazy!

After dinner we watched Thor. The next movie in the chronology of the Marvel collection. It was fab. I am finding it really great as I love action and fantasy... win win.

What did you do today? Have you seen any Marvel movies?

A little break in between...

I’m so happy with how our #garden is transforming. We’ve created a huge space for playing, chilling, eating and basking.

If you swipe through the photos this is what our garden looked like when we moved in last January. We’ve been working hard to make it our own.

To be fair Hubby has done most of the hard work: getting rid of the pond and 5ft high rockery. Using the rocks to make the fire pit area. The decking. And then the patio.

It looks so different. And this photo isn’t the end, we still have some work to do over the next month but I thought it was a good milestone.

We now have somewhere to be as a family. And our sofa is perfect for socially distancing 😂 we can sit 3.5 metres away from eachother.

I am still gobsmacked when I look at it is today and what it was when we moved in. It looks just as I drew it a year ago.

I’m so happy with how...

I took this photo the other evening; the kiddies wanted to wait for a train to go past and so we sat and waited.

Whilst I checked the train times, they sat there talking and giggling. I captured this moment. It was so lovely. Look how #sweet her body language is. His too.

I love watching them when they have their talks. Every morning when we walk the dogs they walk ahead, or behind, doing the same thing. They chatter about lots of random topics or plan out the Minecraft house they are going to build next.

It’s been a long day and when I see photos like this, of the better days, it reminds me why I need to keep going and getting through the tough times.

My babies. 💛💙 #mummyphotoaday

This is for yesterday’s prompt, I left my square black yesterday and so this is my Day 2 of the June Photo Challenge.

These guys always make me #smile. They have the ability to make me feel so very angry and then laugh only 5 minutes later. I’m glad they don’t hold a grudge or stay angry for too long.

I remember this moment well, they were giggling about the dogs. The dogs wandered around them chewing on the grass and Snoopy (our blind dog) nearly head butted Isla.

I love the bond they have developed over the past few months, with each other and the pets too. I’m not saying they love all day long (they bicker) but it’s not as much as they used to and it’s definitely determined by the amount of sleep they get.

Anyone else struggling to get their kids asleep but 10pm? I think Noah came down, in protest, 8 times last night to say he couldn’t sleep.

This is for yesterday’s prompt,...

🌾 I adore this photo! Not sure what it is exactly: the colours, the wonky lines, the sun setting to the right or the children’s freedom. Or, all of it put together.

This was an ordinary moment captured on our dog walk, Sunday evening. It’s little moments like this, the accidental captures, that I love the most.

I had no idea at the time of taking it that I’d love it as much as I do. I can hear the #kiddies giggling and it makes me want to smile.

Well, it’s a late post. But I didn’t finish work until 10:30pm ish & I’ve been winding down.

I hope everyone had a lovely day.

🌾 I adore this photo!...

I am actually going to Britmums Live 2015

YES! I finally did it: booked my ticket to Britmums Live and made sure that the family vacation was not booked up at the same time. Phew. The past two years I have tried to go to Britmums Live but our family holiday has been booked too. I am super excited to go this year and meet new faces, put faces to names and twitter handles and also learn. Learn, learn, learn! So here is a little about me and why I am going, looking forward to sharing my experiences over the next 5 weeks.

Name Sonia Constant

Blog MummyConstant

Twitter ID @mummyconstant

Height  5 ft 3 (I think)

Hair Wavy light brown

Eyes Brown685

Is this your first blogging conference? Yes and I am so excited, I really can’t wait.

Are you attending both days? Definitely. Looking forward to the awards, the seminars and the networking.

What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2015?

I think the main thing I am looking forward to is meeting other bloggers, bloggers who I feel like I know so well from reading their blogs and following their photos on social media. Bloggers like Katie from MummyDaddyMe who I have seen in the past and who I live 10 mins from and I dont see very often to bloggers such as Lucy from CapturebyLucy who I have never met and live hundreds of miles from, not forgetting the lovely Fiona from Coombe Mill too, always a friendly smile, hug and coffee from her. There are so many wonderful bloggers out there that my “to meet” list is growing and growing: The boy and me, to give Jennie Edspire the biggest hug that my tiny arms can muster, Lauren from The real housewife of Suffolk, Jaime from the Oliver’s Madhouse and another Britmums Live newbie Colette from We’re going on an adventure – just to name a few.

What are you wearing?

I am still trying to source my outfits for Britmums Live 2015, but something pretty from Coast is definitely on the agenda so watch this space! I love dressing up and going out so this will be a fab opportunity to strut my stuff, with other like minded bloggers too!

What do you hope to gain from BritMums Live 2015?

I hope to gain friends and learn how to be a better blogger, do things differently, think about things differently and I am really keen to start something. Whether that be a linky that people want to get involved in or something similiar I am not sure, but I want to do something creative and innovative. I am a creative person and I want to let those creative juices free. Getting inspiration from some of the other bloggers there and brands will be priceless over that weekend. My brain will be exhausted on the Saturday evening.

Do you have any tips to pass on to others who may not have been before?

Well if like me this is your first time, nerves are good is my advice. Nerves means you care. If you care you will learn more and I am sure that the nerves will feed adrenaline which will make the weekend a better one. Just dont be too nervous to say hello to anyone… come and find me – I will talk to everyone!

I’m going to BritMums Live

If you are going to BritMums Live too this year then please please do let me know, comment below or say hi on social media. I would love to hear from you and add you to my “to meet” list above! 🙂
