Today we have been busy getting our craft on with a huge selection of Easter crafting goodies from The Works, including a super bonnet and chicks and sticker packs to create the best Easter bonnet we could. My little ones are still quite little but I was impressed with their creative flair on the bonnet, it looked like a big nest on the top.

The hamper was jam packed with little chicks of various sizes and nests of eggs with feathers. Packs of bonnet craft kits and also a fun Easter egg hunt kit which we are looking forward to playing with next weekend. There is a lot in these packs to keep the little ones busy, they loved tearing up the tissue paper to decorate their egg cards and they used it on the bonnet too. The little chicks also came in handy with our Easter baking session, lots of ideas for what you can do with the products.

Our Easter bonnet

Isla loved glueing the bonnet, I think she’s extended it’s life by completely soaking it in glue. She used the tissue paper that she had teared up to put on top of the bonnet and then she put one of the nests of eggs on the top too. I thought it looked really cute. It’s like she made a little bed for her unborn chicks.

She then thought it looked a little bear and so she put a couple of little chicks in the nest and added a little more tissue paper to keep them warm. Then she got the stickers out and decorated the hat around the sides to make it a true Easter themed bonnet. The stickers were really easy to peel too which made my day as Isla gets very frustrated trying to take them off. She then took the rest of the items in the bonnet making kit and covered the bonnet with it. You could see she just wanted to use everything and so she did, covering it with more glue of course. She had a lot of fun making it and looked very proud with her results.
