QuornÂźïž challenged me to make a quick, delicious & meat free meal. đ—€đ˜‚đ—¶đ—°đ—ž đ—șđ—Č𝗼đ—č𝘀 are perfect for lunchtimes whilst working from home. They are also perfect for family lunchtimes on a Saturday as we have little time after clubs.⁣
⁣
I used some đ—€đ˜‚đ—Œđ—żđ—» đ—–đ—żđ—¶đ˜€đ—œđ˜† 𝗡𝘂𝗮𝗮đ—Č𝘁𝘀 to make a quick and tasty meal (since recording this I now use the 𝘱đ˜Ș𝘳 𝘧𝘳đ˜ș𝘩𝘳 which is even quicker than the conventional oven).⁣
⁣
Being vegetarian is definitely made easier with Quorn products. They are tasty, usually quick to cook & versatile. Isla & Noah love these nuggets too, they prefer them to meat. A family bag of Crispy Nuggets lasts a long time, so they are 𝗮𝗿đ—Č𝗼𝘁 𝘃𝗼đ—č𝘂đ—Č.⁣
⁣
My lunch is a Quorn Crispy Nugget roll. So easy
so tasty & perfect for a quick family meal too.⁣

Happy International Women’s Day
I’m lucky enough to have grown up with independent & strong women all around me. It’s where I get my resilience & determination from.

It’s something that I want to ensure Isla has too: to be resilient is to have patience and strength. To keep a smile, even if deep down it’s painful. Determination is to have focus and passion. To keep going even if the end is not quite in sight.

I can see a lot of this in her already
she is far more confident than I ever was at 10 and she knows her own mind. Which I love.

Now I need to make sure she has self confidence, self awareness and self love. So she can endure all that life throws at her and she can listen to her body & mind to guide her.

I love that I’m still learning things about myself on this motherhood journey: some of those things I’m learning from Isla.

I’m very proud of my baby girl đŸ„°

Get cleaning the air fryer with me
đŸ§Œ A slightly different post from me tonight: a handy little tip for cleaning your air fryer.⁣
⁣
There’s something about a cleaning tip that makes cleaning that bit đ˜Łđ˜Šđ˜”đ˜”đ˜Šđ˜ł. We use the air fryer everyday, we love it. Keeping it clean is important.⁣
⁣
So: ⁣
⁣
â–Ș add đ—łđ—źđ—¶đ—żđ˜† đ—čđ—¶đ—Ÿđ˜‚đ—¶đ—± to the trays⁣
â–Ș add water to đ—°đ—Œđ˜ƒđ—Č𝗿 the plates inside the tray⁣
â–Ș air fry for 𝟯 đ—șđ—¶đ—»đ˜€âŁ
⁣
If you’ve only been cooking vegetables and things like that then this is đ˜Žđ˜¶đ˜§đ˜§đ˜Șđ˜€đ˜Șđ˜Šđ˜Żđ˜” to clean the trays. Simply rinse and dry. ⁣
⁣
If you’ve cooked meats or food that sticks to the trays, like cheese, then give it a good wash afterwards. The air frying will have helped to release those foods!⁣
⁣
𝗛𝗼𝘃đ—Č đ˜†đ—Œđ˜‚ đ˜đ—żđ—¶đ—Čđ—± đ˜đ—”đ—¶đ˜€ 𝘆đ—Č𝘁?⁣

If you saw my stories yesterday you will have seen I finally got around to building my 𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗱 đ—ąđ—żđ—°đ—”đ—¶đ—±. It was a birthday present & I’ve been saving it for a quiet weekend.⁣
⁣
I just love it. It’ll be the only flower I can’t actually kill. I either water them too much or not enough
it makes me quite sad. I have a wisteria not doing so great at the moment, so I need tips!!⁣
⁣
Fun fact: 2 of the 4 plants you can see in this photo are real. đ˜žđ˜©đ˜Șđ˜€đ˜© 𝟾 đ˜„đ˜° đ˜șđ˜°đ˜¶ đ˜”đ˜©đ˜Ș𝘯𝘬 𝘱𝘳𝘩 𝘧𝘱𝘬𝘩? And I gave you a rather big clue in my first paragraph đŸ€ŁâŁ
⁣
đ—›đ—Œđ˜„ đ—±đ—Œ đ˜†đ—Œđ˜‚ 𝘁𝗼𝗾đ—Č đ˜đ—¶đ—șđ—Č đ—Œđ˜‚đ˜ đ—łđ—Œđ—ż đ˜†đ—Œđ˜‚đ—żđ˜€đ—Čđ—č𝗳? Yesterday I spent 90 minutes building my Orchid whilst watching enchanted on Disney+
it was nice as Isla hadn’t seen it before. We had a lovely snuggly Sunday. ⁣

Isla is so close to her level 6 certificate. She’s been coming on in leaps and bounds over the last few weeks
her confidence is definitely improving with her @gymfinitykids classes.

Today was awards week for Isla’s class, and I love they they dish out “part way” certificates to those who haven’t quite levelled up yet. Everyone gets a certificate. It’s so lovely.

With my discount code they waive the joining fee, which is £30, so don’t forget to use it when signing up your child to @gymfinitykids

Silent Sunday photography challenge: 20 September 2020 #SilentSunday

Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 20 September 2020. We have had an odd week, it should have been the kids first full week back at school and Isla fell sick. So, she had 2 days at home. Thankfully by the end of the week, everyone was OK. We made the most of our day together yesterday and went out on the river; Daddy and Isla on the Paddleboard, Noah in a kayak and Mummy in a kayak. It was good fun. VIEW the POST

Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 13 September 2020. I had a little break from this over the past couple of weeks but we are back, just as the kids have gone back to school. How has everyone found the transition? This photo is from last Sunday when we took a visit to Norfolk to celebrate the end of the Summer Holidays. We had a lovely day. VIEW the POST

Silent Sunday photography link up: 23 August 2020 #SilentSunday

Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 23 August 2020. This week the grown ups have been back to work, albeit at home still, and the children have been at Summer Camp – dance and sports all week. They have loved it. We usually use around 4-5 weeks of camps at Summer but this year only had the option to use 2 weeks (due to COVID-19). The next 2 weeks we have to juggle kids and work, like homeschooling without the homeschooling. Wish us luck.

16 August 2020 #SilentSunday

Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 16 August 2020. We have had a lovely week off together as a family; we explored around the Peak District and had some well earned chill time at the end of the week too. Ready to tackle the last few weeks of the Summer Holidays and then a new normal with Back to School. It's been nice to wind down. VIEW the POST

9 August 2020 #SilentSunday

Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 9 August 2020. This photo is from our impromptu trip to Cambridge yesterday, we went out for a meal to celebrate Daddy's birthday (this coming Tuesday) and it was so nice. We splashed in the new stream area at Sheep's Green. Its the perfect place to spend a silent Sunday. VIEW the POST

2 August 2020 #SilentSunday

Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 2 August 2020. We have enjoyed the first week of the Summer Holidays as the kiddies went to Summer camp. It wasn’t the same, as there was a lot of measures in place for keeping distance and ensuring the kids are well. However, the kiddies still had fun. We also had a fun beach trip to kick off the Summer and it was nice to feel the breeze and the sand between our toes.

Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 26 July 2020. We are officially into the Summer Holidays. Woohoo. To celebrate we went to the beach and let our hair down. Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 19 July 2020. I am truly sorry that I missed last weekend, as some of you may have seen I spent the night in hospital with Noah and therefore didn't have time or any signal in order to make the post. Serves me right for not scheduling it up. This photo is from one of our dog walks this week, thankfully Noah's pains cleared up quite quickly. VIEW the POST

5 July 2020 #SilentSunday

Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 5 July 2020. We have had a nice few weeks. Not much has changed for us, we are still distancing and still only really socialising with our household. We have seen a couple of people, grandparents and a coupe of friends, distanced, but other than that we are just us. We had a nice trip to the beach, it was pretty empty and the fresh air was perfect. What have you been doing?

Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 28 June 2020. The last Sunday of June 2020, another month done in lockdown! 7 June 2020 #SilentSunday

Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 7 June 2020. We haven't changed much in our lockdown routine, we haven't driven to far away places (much as we would love to) and we haven't gone for days out anywhere. We are still at home, enjoying the garden and walks that are nearby. I am still a bit anxious to go in a place where there will be a large amount of people. This week we have been for a walk with Nanny & Grandad and my Mumma came over to help me with the roses in the garden. Which has been just lovely. What have you been up to? VIEW the POST

Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 24 May 2020. What a tropical weekend it has been so far? We went for a walk yesterday morning and it was definitely a 4 Seasons in one Day kind of day! (Yes, I love Crowded House). We haven’t really managed to spend a lot of time on our new furniture yet due to the high winds. Hoping to have a nice photo for you next weekend. Thanks for coming to #SilentSunday on 3 May 2020. I loved this photo, on our nature walk, they told me that this tree was a Birch as it had the white bark. Something they’ve learnt from Minecraft. They have learnt a lot from that game. It’s nice seeing things coming to light. Also, it’s exactly 1 week until little Isla’s birthday, I am prepping for a lockdown birthday. Any ideas are welcome…
