The new Dragon Ball figures #ToyReview #ad

The new Dragon Ball figures #ToyReview #ad

We love reviewing toys over at the Constant household, Noah was super excited to receive the new Dragon Ball figures from Bandai UK. Dragon Ball is one of the most successful manga and anime series of all time. Now, kiddies can bring to life the characters in their own home with these action figures from Bandai. VIEW the POST

World Book Day 2020 – Harry and Hermione

World Book Day 2020 – Harry and Hermione

We love World Book Day, we also love Harry Potter at the moment. So, it only seemed right to dress up as Harry and Hermoine for World Book Day 2020. I usually make something a bit more creative, involving face paints and drawing on clothes. But for the Harry Potter theme it was relatively easy. I feel like I cheated! This is what they wanted though, promise! VIEW the POST

How to help kids with bedtime anxieties

We have always struggled with our bedtime routine, well we have since Isla has been around. She does not like to sleep. We thought, as the children got older, that the bedtime routine would get easier. It hasn’t really and so we have to try lots of different things to help get through those bedtime anxieties. I have written down some things we did when the kiddies were babies and what we do now, incase this helps any one going through similar.

Having fun at Great Grandmas #familytime

Having fun at Great Grandmas #familytime

I have always been close to my grandma so it was inevitable that the kiddies would be close to their great grandma. We try to go there and visit every other week, albeit that can be troublesome with all of the clubs. Having fun is important for the kids at Grandmas, as it is for Grandma herself. There are lots of things we do together, and we try to make it as stress free as possible.  VIEW the POST

Settling your children in a back to school routine

Settling your children in a back to school routine

With the back to school photos covering social media; perfectly poised children and their perfectly ironed uniforms. It made me think about what we do to prepare for the back to school routine. It's quite difficult going from little study to full on study and this year the kids have more homework than before. Different schools have different rules. A different routine. VIEW the POST

The Trolls that hate Chores!

Sounds like a children’s storybook title. But it’s not. I guess it was inevitable that MummyConstant would be trolled at some point, but I didn’t ever think it would be from a simple comment about chores and children. You may have seen my recent Instagram post asking for advice on what chores the children do around the house, well it caused a bit of an uproar!

Moving the children to a new school #backtoschool

Moving the children to a new school #backtoschool

You may have seen on some of my Instagram Stories that we took the decision, after a few months of being in our new house, to move the kiddies to a new school. It is not a decision we made lightly as Isla loved her school and was attached to her teacher. We didn't want to disrupt them unnecessarily but we feel that this move will do them good. And, the new uniform looks SUPER cute! VIEW the POST

It’s been 9 years… and it’s still going strong #blogaversary

It’s been 9 years… and it’s still going strong #blogaversary

I cannot believe I have been writing this blog for 9 whole years this month. It is absolutely crazy to think I have been gabbling away for all of those years. Taking millions of photos (and I am not joking) and working with lots of fabulous people. I have really enjoyed writing this blog, being creative and sharing some of my ideas along the way. The flipping stupid chinese whispers about the girl!

The flipping stupid chinese whispers about the girl!

Yes I am referring to that wretched video spreading across social media like wild fire. I have spent the past 48 hours with both children gripped to my arms. They will not sleep on their own, they will not be in a room on their own and all because they have been told a stupid story at school. We keep saying it's not real, but it's no use they are both petrified. VIEW the POST

Taking one bite and grumpy moodswings

Taking one bite and grumpy moodswings

I have literally spent the past week telling myself "What have I done wrong?". One minute Noah is caring, loving and absolutely amazing. The next, he is throwing things around, pushing chairs over and being completely horrible to everyone. Oh and lunchtimes are becoming an issue too. What is going on with my little man? VIEW the POST

2019 photo challenge February day 18

Today’s keyword for the #mummyphotoaday photo challenge, February day 18, is “skies”. I love these dramatic #skies… this sunny and cold, Winter, weather is just amazing. Everything looks like a post card or a photo of a lush landscape. But it’s just a little ole market town in Cambridgeshire! I love this photo. The kiddies and Hubby look teeny tiny…. #mummyphotoaday

2019 photo challenge February day 17

Today's keyword for the #mummyphotoaday photo challenge, February day 17, is "adventure". We’ve had an #adventure today. Completely glorious weather, perfect for getting out in the fresh air. We walked a few miles and told the children to stop hitting each other about a million times! It’s nice when they all get on though, makes it all worth while #mummyphotoaday VIEW the POST

#CottonCandySunday I had to share this crazy video

These guys are so funny. They have sat at the piano for an hour now writing a silly song about Cotton Candy on a Sunday. Their laughter makes me giggle so much... they call it Cotton Candy Sunday, #CottonCandySunday.

Operation “move Isla into her own room” is a go go

Operation “move Isla into her own room” is a go go

You may recall many moons ago we decided to move Isla into Noah's room. Well now it's time for her to have her own room back. But what a palaver! When we moved Isla into Noah's room we quickly learnt we needed bunk beds and storage for all the toys. Her old room became Daddy's office/dressing room. So in order to get her back into her own room we had to first make room for the extra furniture we'd purchased: desk and wardrobe. It wasn't a simple room swap.VIEW the POST

Fun activities for the Summer Holidays

If there are any parents out there, like me, thinking there is only 6 weeks until the Summer Holidays. It is essential to plan your time. Especially if you are needing to take annual leave and book kids clubs. It is really tricky to plan quite so far in advance, you can never guarantee the weather is going to be perfect. Here are some fun activities you can do spare of the moment, any day of the holidays.

Living with a disabled dog #Cockerspaniel

Living with a disabled dog #Cockerspaniel

To say Snoopy has been unlucky with health issues, is an understatement. You may remember last year when we had to remove both his ear canals as he would get infections every few months. This year the problem we face is his sight. Our little pooch, whom I still think of as a puppy, is our family disabled dog.  VIEW the POST

Cycling with the kids – learning to ride

Cycling has become one of our little weekend family activities recently. It’s lovely. Little Noah has been able to ride his bike for some time now, but he’s been cycling on his smaller BMX bike that was more comfortable for him. Isla has only just started riding her bike. So as Isla was a little unsure on her feet, we thought it was maybe time to encourage Noah to go out on his larger mountain bike.

Making the most of the warmer weather, albeit rather wet!

Making the most of the warmer weather, albeit rather wet!

The warmer weather is here, it seemed to take it's time, but it did arrive with a bang last week. What a difference a week can make though? This week has been full of rain, showers most days, monsoons on others. This is what I love about this Country though, the diversity and the fact my boot has to have wellies, rain coat, umbrella, woolly hat and my flip flops - all just in case! It was fun getting out with the kiddies this week, despite the rain, we embraced it and it was quite a lot of fun. VIEW the POST

Our great Norfolk Easter egg hunt 2018

Our great Norfolk Easter egg hunt 2018

Making the most of our beautiful cottage and its grounds, screamed out for a legendary Easter egg hunt. I was quite proud of the final hunt, albeit it didn't work out the way I had planned. I don't suppose it will with a 7, 5, 4 & 2 year old! We had fun though and the kiddies enjoyed finding the eggs as much as I did hiding them. I think I am a natural at playing Easter bunny...  VIEW the POST
