Getting the right gift or keepsake for a special occasion can be quite a tough decision. But Hersey & Son have made it a lot easier with some fantastic and beautiful silverware items, that can be personalised too. With our 10th wedding anniversary, yesterday, I wanted to get something special. A keepsake that captures some nice memories.

When I think back over the years, we have always had a lovely three course meal on our anniversaries. Hubby is a fantastic cook and he loves cooking up a storm in the kitchen. When I saw these napkin rings I just couldn’t resist, we can use them on special occasions when we have one of our yummy meals together. I had our wedding date engraved on them for added impact and it worked. Hubby loved them, it was a nice surprise and I think it really made a difference to the dining table.

The napkin ring came in a beautiful gift box, branded pouch and wrapped in tissue paper. It really was so well packaged. It made it all the more special. I love it when products come wrapped up well, that care and attention proves that the brand: a) loves their product and b) will take that much care over making their products too. It makes you confident in their silverware.

Hersey & Son are one of the few remaining traditional silversmiths in the UK. If you sign up to their newsletter you can enjoy a 10% discount on your first order too. Items have free delivery too, great knowing you will not be charged extra at the checkout.

How did I roll the napkin?

To roll the napkin with the double roll effect, all I did was:

  • fold the napkin in half
  • fold the bottom of the napkin up to meet the top (in quarters)
  • roll one end 2/3 rds of the way, just beyond the center line
  • flip it round and roll the other end towards the middle
  • keep a hold of the napkin rolls so it doesn’t unravel
  • slip on the napkin ring to the center of the roll

What would you get your partner for your 10th wedding anniversary? Would it be silverware? I would love to know in the comments below or on social media: @mummyconstant. I love my tableware, it’s funny how a napkin ring can make such a difference.
