I have four children! My two boy trail in a lot of grass and mud fromplaying footie and my arty little girls seem to get glitter and glue everywhere! Biggest mes was when my youngest daughter dropped my pot of face cream on my bedroom carpet and she tried to clean it up herself – but the more she rubbed it in, the worse it got!

What is it with girls and makeup? I suppose this one is partly my fault though. When my oldest daughter was 4 she came in to wake me up (very, very early) and I…well lets say it wasn’t very successful. As she was bored she decided to play ‘dress-up’ with mummy’s make-up. When i (finally) woke up. she was on the floor with the remains of 3 lip sticks, my liquid foundation, eye shadow palette and face powder. It was very colourful and the carpet never, ever recovered!

My 3 year old daughter decided to paint her own nails a few months ago…. as well as her nails, she painted the whole of her fingers, toes, got nail varnish on my leather sofa, laminate floor and all over her clothes 🙁 when my son was little he managed to spread sudocrem all over himself, all in his hair, clothes, sofa, rug, fireplace – was a nightmare to clean up!!

A few months back, when running some errands in our local town, my four boys had persuaded me to buy them a box of four chocolate cornettos, I never thought anything of it, they all love ice-creams, until Finn my youngest son was about halfway through his & I realised that I had no baby wipes at hand. What made matters worse was we were on limited parking time wise, so we couldnt rush off to buy baby wipes & I had to stand outside of the hairdressers with him whilst his brothers had a haircut …. why oh why didn’t I buy them vanilla ice-creams?? – produced some cracking photos & memories though!

My youngest daughter Hope seems to attract the most amount of mess of which most of the time is helped along by her, including the time she covered herself in Sudocreme (the hardest stuff in the world to remove!!!!) or the time she drew all over her face in my best lipstick trying to be ‘just like mummy’ or the time she decided to squeeze the talc powder bottle while looking at it so that she looked like a class a drug dealer!!!! None of these were her finer moments in life!

When my son was about 8 we went for a long walk as a family. Came to a lane which was really muddy like a swamp. I said its alright to walk through it, as my son had wellies on. Half way across and his wellies got stuck in the mud. Equals one very muddy sock. Lifted him up and put him on grass bank on the side and went back for his wellies. Laughing so much I fell in the mud. Don’t know who was the muddiest me or him. Of course his Dad was busy taking photos.
