You guessed it, L.O.L Surprise! have kicked off the year with series 3: Confetti Pop. There are 9 new dolls to collect in a fabulous new designed ball, with a popping surprise element to it. It’s great fun, I love watching Isla’s face as she unravels the layers of these sell out toys.
Skateboarding is more than just a sport. It’s a cultural phenomenon that has influenced language, music, arts and fashion. Aside from competitive events, the sport has no rules, and this somehow has created a rebellious spirit within the skateboarding culture which has been wholeheartedly embraced by millions of youths from around the world. While UK can’t boast a large population of skateboarders yet, the interest in the sport is growing, particularly among children and young teens. Many parents worry about their child when they declare their love for skateboarding, due to the injuries associated with the sport and even sometimes with the rebellious culture that surrounds it, but fear not, here is a quick guide to get you ready if your child asks for a skateboard.
We were sent this really fun and educational toy from Chad Valley: the interactive world map. It has fun facts about 19 countries across the world and a built in quiz function too. It is a handy size and weight that it can be taken almost anywhere, perfect to entertain children on a long journey! It gets a big thumbs up from Noah.
Noah and Isla love unboxing things, especially fun toys. They had no idea what was going to be inside the box. Neither did I. I love seeing their excited faces when they finally get into the box. It’s like that magical beam from ear to ear that happens on Christmas Day morning. Inside the box they found lots of fun Scooby Doo goodies and what a perfect time to receive them too at Halloween.
It’s Isla’s fifth birthday next Wednesday, I am still in shock how quickly this has come around, and it is always this time of year that leaves me thinking “What do you get a little girl these days?”. She loves her dolls, blind bag toys and surprise egg toys too. I love finding new products and we found a new one recently: L.O.L. Surprise! They are ball shaped, hidden under 7 layers of treats until you get the surprise in the middle… Its a mini doll!
With a little girls fifth birthday coming up in a few weeks, I thought it would be fitting to find out what fabulous toys Chad Valley have to offer. There are quite literally tonnes of fabulous toys on the Argos website under the Chad Valley filter. So much choice. my instinct reaction was to delve straight into the role playing area though. She has a curved wooden kitchen and a poorly pet healthy and grooming kit, both great value and hours of fun!
One of my aims of being on the Chad Valley Play Panel is to review the amazing range of toys, but also to keep my eye on some great bargains for families. You may remember I recently reviewed the Isabella interactive doll with Isla. This time around I am looking at this great value pirate ship, which is on sale now for just £9.69.

We love this Woodland Friends giant floor puzzle by Ravensburger, it’s a 60 piece puzzle that once completed offers another game to play with the children. Daddy had fun testing the children’s knowledge about woodland animals. They guessed some of the answers correctly that even I wasn’t expecting.
Over the course of the past few months we have been testing out some board games for dinner party nights and family nights too. This post is a collection of some of the fun board games that we have for dinner party nights. Perfect for those Christmas evenings when you have friends round or when the children have gone to bed on Christmas Day.
