This summer holiday has been so spontaneous, mostly due to the wet weather we have had. It’s meant that any grand plans have changed last minute, including holidays. When we have had some dry weather, it’s been great to get out with some handy activities in my back pocket. Thanks to our Paws Outdoors kit from BEAR and The Wildlife Trusts. BEAR are all about getting the little ones out and about with nature. So they teamed up with The Wildlife Trust to make sure our cubs have lots of fun things to do.
On Sunday we went for a lovely walk in the woods. It was nice because we ended up at the RSPB bird lodge, spontaneously. It’s a nice walk along the woodland to get to the lodge, surrounded by nature. A straight line with a forest on one side and big open space on the other. It makes for great perspective photos. Daddy took his big camera out too, always guaranteed a nice photo!
Are you planning a vacation to Whistler, BC this year? Maybe you are looking for a hotel room for your family to enjoy? Hotels are nice, but why not consider staying in one of the area’s condos? Today, we are going to learn why staying in a condo just might be better for your needs than a hotel room.
Going on vacation is a fun time. It’s your chance to get away from the office and worries of everyday life. You’ve worked hard to earn time off and it’s now your chance to soak up the sun and relax with friends or family.
The Summer Holidays should be a great time for getting out and about with the little ones and enjoying the sunshine. Although at the moment I am not sure we have seen any sun! Dioralyte are really keen to keep us all hydrated, so that when the sun does come out we can have plenty of fun and stay healthy.
You may recall last Summer I had a little rave about a new website I came across: Love the Sales. The site that lists fashion items, that are just in the sale! Well, I wanted to give you a little update because I think it's brilliant and you could grab yourself a bargain before the Summer holidays arrive – find your maxi dresses and a spare pair of shorts for the kids!
Kids love to see how things work and craft their own creations, so building is a fun pastime for parents to share with their little ones to have fun and help them develop. Of course, actual construction and real tools can be dangerous for children, so there are only certain kinds of building activities that would be suitable for playtime. Some games like Jenga focus on structural design and challenge you to build properly to maintain the stability of the blocks. Even without a designated board game or special building materials, kids tend to find ways to build things out of whatever they can find. Thus, to keep their hands out of mischief and give yourselves something cool to do as a family, consider the following seven kinds of building projects that are kid-friendly:
Summer is very much here, hopefully I am not the only parent to be suffering from the “daylight at bedtime, therefore it cannot be bedtime” issue with the children? The long days mean that darkness hits around 9:30pm, which is far too late for the kiddies to be going to bed. There is an answer to this though: blackout blinds! They are a must have for any child’s bedroom, completely magic.
Let’s face it; no parent is as bothered about their fashion choices as they were pre-parenthood. Nonetheless, there’s no doubt that looking great still makes us feel great. That should be more than enough incentive for any mom to freshen up her look this summer. Still, those decisions are only worthwhile if they retain a sense of practicality.
I love shopping, but in this heat you want a shop that has it all and a great online shop to boot! Debenhams have a jam packed holiday shop, everything from luggage, clothes and accessories to make sure your Summer is the best. In one stop I ordered aftershave, clothes for Daddy and the children, a hat for Mummy and luggage. Great for busy Mum’s trying to get sorted for the annual Summer holiday.
