I was recently made aware of a campaign that the NHS are running called #Selfcare. It is basically highlighting to families that you do not need to go to the doctors every time something is wrong. You can treat yourselves for minor ailments with over the counter medicines. I for one, being a working Mum of two do not find the time during the “doctors hours” to visit and grab medications. It is easier for me to go to the Pharmacy at the Supermarket – that’s open until late into the evening.
Going on holiday for us is not all about airports and hours of travelling across the world. We have fabulous memories of holidays that we’ve taken right here in the UK. Over Easter we went away to Norfolk, a really short drive and we had a fabulous holiday. We went away with friends too which was really fun.
On Saturday we took a little trip to Norfolk to try out BeWILDerwood, we drove past it everyday when we stayed at Hall Farm Cottages in Ludham and we have been desperate to go since then. The weather looked dry and mild on Saturday so we knew it was the right time to go. BeWilderwood is in Hoveton, very near Wroxham, it’s a lovely area if you are planning a holiday as there is so much to do.
I adore the beach at Wells-Next-The-Sea, from the carpark with the new Joules hut to the miles and miles of sand. I do not think we have ever been there and had a bad experience, it’s great for the dogs and the children as there is just so much to do and so much space to explore too.
We took a trip across to Norfolk on Sunday to visit some friends who had just moved house to a lovely, remote, location. The village was lovely and we made the most of the weather to get some fresh air at the park. The children had fun playing with some friends and so did Daddy! The weather is really starting to turn frosty, time to wrap up nice and snuggled.
We have just come home from a wonderful week in Norfolk, not only because the weather was amazing but because the accommodation we stayed in was too. The holiday cottage was on a complex of cottages called Hall Farm Cottages, I didn’t really know what to expect before we got there but we were all so pleasantly surprised. You have to stay there to really get a feel for the beautiful views and the, simply, stunning location.
We made the most of the Spring-ish weather at the weekend and took a trip to Norfolk, hats and scarves included. It was a lovely day, we walked for miles and the kids included (no carrying) which was amazing. I managed to gather some of our moments on camera again, and so I made another vlog for our outdoor fun. I want to do it all again!
Another month of this year has whooshed us past, I simply cannot believe how quickly the days are going. This months Me and Mine is based from our beach trips to Norfolk, our favourite beach, Wells Next to Sea. It was a great day, a little windy but not too cold and the sun was shining. The children walked really far and we had a great time together as a family, which is what these days are all about. This was our first attempt, which just makes me smile:
Family business Gone Crabbing was launched in 2008 by Susie Mason. Inspired by both her home county of Norfolk and all our beautiful British coastal resorts, she has created a humorous and imaginative range of gifts and clothing which embraces all things “beachy”. I just love this brand, beautiful designs and great quality and the website is one of the best looking websites I have come across in a long time.
Today we went to Wells next to the sea in Norfolk, we all love the beach and so we thought we would get wrapped up nice and warm and take a drive. It was great and I am so glad we decided to go. The weather was perfect, blue skies, sun shining and little wind on the beach- perfect!
