It’s not a new thing for people to consider the longevity and reliability of a vehicle. If you have a toddler, it is a whole other ball game, and it will do you a world of good to take a look at the consumer reports recommended car seats.

Because I am a bit of a geek I downloaded the iOS 11 beta version today and I am very excited about what Apple have been working on. I have been playing with it today and there is a lot of cool stuff that Apple have really thought about, from: the notification centre to the all new files directory and the new live photos editing. That is by far the most exciting thing for me! The new update works on various iPhone models, all of which you can get from EE.
There is no occasion more beautiful than celebrating the blessing of a baby. Whether it’s your own baby shower or that of a loved one, toasting the bub and mummy-to-be is the first of many treasured memories the two will share. Now tailoring a baby shower worthy of nine months of discomfort – that’s the task at hand!
It is the same with everything and not just cars, the better something looks and works, the more we are likely to pay for it. There are many things that you can do to increase its value slightly, and the popularmechanics.com website has some excellent advice on the subject. Before you advertise your family car, make sure that it is in its best possible condition first, and you could end up getting more for your vehicle than you thought you would.
I say a list of things every New Year: things that I will do and keep up. And I will keep them up. But I never do. Or not to the great extent that I imagined I would back in week one of the year. There are a list of a few things that I always think about doing and maintaining, namely exercise and diet comes into that equation. But there are also a few things this year that are “new” in terms of resolutions for me.
PizzaExpress is celebrating the launch of its exciting new look restaurant in Hitchin. Conveniently located in the town’s Market Place, the family friendly restaurant has been totally transformed with a fresh new décor and contemporary fixtures and fittings. We couldn’t wait to get over to Hitchin and try it out, whilst trying out their autumn menu of course.
Looking for a new home is an exciting activity for families, well depending on your family of course. Some even make a trip for it. But there are important details people tend to overlook because of the excitement. So here we have created a family checklist to guide you when you make the big leap into buying a new house.
It can only be Game of Thrones (GoT) and season 6 is back, it started yesterday, Monday 25 April 2016, and I am super excited to see what twists and turns are coming for this new season. You can watch the episodes live on Sky Atlantic, which means you can also watch it live from NOW TV too. Who watched the first viewing of the episode at 2am on Sky Atlantic, which was in time with the USA? I have to admit I was fast asleep!
So three weeks ago I started my venture into the world of vegetarianism and it’s been quite a journey so far. I have to admit, I have been feeling awful over the past few weeks but I am now on the other side and feeling revitalised and ready for anything. I have been exploring some great recipes and I am finding that food is far more interesting than I realised, this vegetarian lifestyle is a much happier place.
Join Ryder and his Paw Patrol pals this Easter on their mystery-solving adventures in their search for pirate treasure, when they discover a secret map! This week saw the launch of the new DVD “Paw Patrol: Pups and the pirate treasure” which has 6 new fabulous episodes to sail through.
This week has been the week of Toy Fair 2016, for all of those of you that do not know it is a rather large exhibition full of toys! It was amazing walking round and seeing the wonderful toys out this year and I even got to do a little scooting – which made my day! I saw a lot of toys. If you want a quick guide on what I liked best, take a look below:
There are so many nice and shining things you can buy when you are expecting your first newborn. Obviously when it comes to baby number two, you know exactly what you need and do not need. With the arrival of my little neice it made me think back to when I was expecting little Noah and here are my useful tips on what is actually useful.
Hopefully, the rain has backed off a little bit now so that we can enjoy a good month or so of summer. Now, with that in mind, the question of what to do is upon us! I am not quite in the realms of summer holidays yet, it is just a normal August for us at the moment (that will all change next year) but there are still things I want to do with the children that will make it a nice summer for us all, with some nice memories.
I am completely convinced that come September, Noah will have his new friends and have new interests and want to get involved in new sports and hobbies. Will he love his little car collection anymore? Will he still have his huge fascination with trains? Or will he want to be the worlds next pro ice hockey champion, donned up with pro skates and ice hockey sticks on his Christmas list?
After Easter we took a family trip to Thomas Land to the opening of the new Sodor Airport, expansion at Drayton Manor. The new expansion includes 3 new rides and 2 old rides have been relocated to make more space and a much better layout, I know this is not as exciting but they have new toilet facilities available too (which came in really handy with our little ones). The airport includes a cafe and there is a great veranda where you can view the expansion from a high level which was pretty cool!
Did you know from 4 April 2015 both Mums and Dads can share the parental leave and make it work, best, for their family? I know legislation can look and sound scary, but I am sure you are already thinking about how it will benefit you. Or maybe you are like me, thinking this would have been brilliant when I was expecting my children. The Government information for Shared Parental Leave and Pay really breaks it down so it is easy to understand, it is definitely worth a read if you are expecting a baby after 4 April 2015.
It is funny because when I reflect back on my year of 2014, it wasn’t the greatest in many ways, but amazing in lots of other ways. It really was the year of to and fro, but with my glass always half full I was able to not dwell on the negatives too much and turn them into positives.
Italian food is one of my very favourite types of food, I just love garlic and all the yummy sauces that are whipped up in an Italian kitchen – what better way to celebrate the Italian cuisine than by eating pizza. Pizza Express have just opened a new restaurant in St Neots and it is literally a 2 minute walk from our house. Excellent!
I have to admit it was the potential of reviewing this book that gave me the inspiration for Isla Rae’s little bookworm corner. I love the Little Miss range and the Mr Men range, they are very clever and remind me of when I was a child. Little Miss Hug is launching today, the 35th book in the series and what a fantastic birthday treat for my little miss hug, Isla.

Today, September 6th, Lindam are launching the first Safety Day, to make parents aware of the dangers that can be found in the home. More accidents happen in the home than anywhere else and, shockingly, more children die annually because of accidents rather than illnesses, such as meningitis. Lindam is committed to reducing childhood accidents in the home and is launching the first national Safety Day on September 6th 2012 with the theme ‘The Difference A Minute Can Make’ which looks at how time pressured parents could be risking their child’s health. Many accidents can be prevented in one minute and I was sent a selection of the brand new Lindam Xtra Guard™ range for 2012 that provides parents with revolutionary and innovative products that ensure your child will be kept safe around the home. All products feature a double layer of security providing tamper resilience and double locking protection. I was also sent the innovative and stylish vinyl sun shade that protects your baby from the glaring sun and harmful UV rays whilst travelling in the car and fixes easily onto the window with suction cups. Featuring award-winning White Hot™ technology, the heat alert system indicates when the […]
