Deciding just where to holiday in France comes with a huge range of choices, and that can make it very difficult when it comes to a final decision. France is, after all, twice the size of the UK, and is even bigger than Spain and Greece combined! That makes it fantastic when it comes to having options, and if you’re travelling with children, then you are literally spoiled for choice. However, for family breaks, it’s always best to head south. It’s not a surprise that the south of France is one of the most popular destinations for families in Europe, and with the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees Mountains acting as borders to the region, it’s clear that even the most demanding of family members will find something to love. From the best in European beaches to the food and drink that France is famous for, here’s how to explore the best that the south of France has to offer you and your family.
As you may have seen on my Instagram over the past 8 days, we have been sunning ourselves across the Mediterranean sea onboard the Carnival Vista ship. It was our first cruise and we have been completely blown away – I am not sure a “normal” hotel will cut it anymore. This post is all about the cruise as a whole from the family perspective, so if you are thinking about booking one it might be a good read.
This month The Constants are going on their first family holiday as a cruise, courtesy of Carnival Cruise Line. We get to board the new Carnival Vista which launched in May and I’m so excited. The ship is huge, it amazes me and I cannot wait to see the ship in real life. I am sure it will make me feel like an ant! The ship has so much to offer including restaurants, bars including a sports bar, the first IMAX at sea, a waterpark and pools. Oh and not forgetting the Serenity adult only, relaxation area.
Prepare to launch into an adventurous or romantic escapade to discover some of the best islands in the Mediterranean. While the vast richness of the Mediterranean is indisputable, there are some fantastic and memorable places that must not be missed due to their exotic character, perfect climate, ancient history, special nightlife and unique natural habitat. From Spain to Greece, Morocco, Southern Italy and Malta there is something to enjoy for everyone and that is sure to satisfy any individual taste. I am looking forward to discovering some of these places when we go on our family cruise in August.
