Everyone deserves a little getaway once in a while. One of the perfect ways to spend your time off is having fun with your girlfriends. As long as you’re all together, you know it’ll be a wonderful vacation. Be sure to plan out the details ahead of time, so you’re not scrambling to come up with a destination right before the trip.
- me time
Life is buzzing, and you often find yourself running after time. We all do. But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t take the time to stop and create a moment of peace for yourself, with your partner or with your children. After all, you can’t live a life of stress without recharging your batteries. Indeed, while you can find nutritious fuel for your body through the right food all day long, the fuel for your soul isn’t that easy to get by. That’s exactly why you need some me time, couple time and naturally family time. It’s important that you separate these types of emotional energy in your life. It is a common mistake for new mothers to focus so much on their role as a mummy that they forget that they are also a woman and a wife – or a girlfriend. You don’t need to choose your role; you can be a parent, a lover and a strong woman.
As a parent, it’s always important to remember that you are a person still! It can be easy to forget all the things you used to do before you had your children, and it’s important to go back to these things every once in a while to give you a much needed break from the hard work that raising children can be! This is something I learnt the hard way this year and made some big decisions on getting some me time.
Being a mum is no easy task, and it’s not uncommon for new mums to quickly become stressed out and anxious. When you become a mum, you’re suddenly responsible for the health and happiness of another human being, which is a massive job and commitment to take on!
