It may not be something that you have given much thought to in the past, but if you are looking to get married, you should make sure that you choose your wedding rings carefully. I loved shopping for our wedding rings, they were perfect for us! There are some excellent ideas for wedding rings on Pinterest.com that you may wish to consider, although not all of them would be practical. You will want to take into account the wear and tear of everyday life that the ring will go through, and choose a ring that is going to be practical.
Recently when I have been getting “agitated” with the children’s behaviour: the squabbling, bickering and arguing over stupid things, it got me thinking about questioning them. For example the power of “why” is incredible, usually they give me sensible and thoughtful answers. Not childish answers, which surprised me a great deal. There are 5 magic words that will help you with this: why, where, what, when and how!
If your daughter is anything like little Isla, then a quiet spot in the house somewhere is the perfect place to sit and ponder. She creates these places and sits with her dolls reading stories or bushing their hair. It is really cute. She often sits and hides away being creative too, I want her to feel inspired to do this. Creating a little area for your child is a great way of giving them the okay to get busy with their imaginations.
Valentines Day, February 14th, is not far away. In actual fact, it is just around the corner. I am hoping that Hubby and I will be able to get away this year and see the sights of a wonderful new City, well new to us. We are currently thinking about York. Getting hubby the right gifts for Valentines Day can always be tricky, as he has everything, but House of Fraser was a great place to shop. In mind of our trip away, these are some of my ideas…
I adore the beach at Wells-Next-The-Sea, from the carpark with the new Joules hut to the miles and miles of sand. I do not think we have ever been there and had a bad experience, it’s great for the dogs and the children as there is just so much to do and so much space to explore too.
As some of you may have noticed, Saturday was my 34th birthday and Hubby got me a new “awesome” lens for my new Sony Alpha camera. I was so excited that I kind of forced us to go out for a nice walk. It did us good to get some fresh air but both Mummy and Daddy were not feeling very well, Isla was poorly on Friday and so it wasn’t the most magical of experiences. But, I did get some lovely photo’s with my new f1.8 lens. Yippee.
You are now past the nerve-wracking trimester of your pregnancy, hence planning for some fun and recreational activities won’t be a wrong move. The first-trimester, I can understand, how nauseatic it can be and getting down to plan something sportive might turn ugly for you. But the good news is, it’s over now and you are living the golden months of a woman’s life. So, pamper yourself as much as possible and bask in around.
New Year’s Eve is one of most anticipated nights of years. But for our pets it can also be night of high anxiety. In the same challenges faced by pets on bonfire night, the loud music, shouting and of course the fireworks may cause our normally calm pets to think their world is under threat. This can have some upsetting consequences. Luckily our friends at Kennedy Wild Bird Food have some handy tips, to ensure your 2017 gets off to the best start for the entire family.
Snoopy, our very snuggly Cocker Spaniel has the largest and floppiest ears I have ever seen on a Cocker Spaniel. It was cute for the first 18 months of his life, but as they got larger, they got heavier. Don’t get me wrong they are still cute, but have been a huge maintenance on our part, the vets part and poor Snoopy. It’s not something you think about when you get a dog, but big and heavy ears can be very painful.
You may have read a post I wrote last month about not being just a Mum, it came about because there are so many things you do throughout the day. Everyone deals with them differently and every parent has a slightly different approach. We are all unique! I recently found out about a fun quiz that SunLife have on their website, it made me think back on my recent post and it took my thoughts one step further. The quiz is full of questions about what you would do in certain “parenthood” situations and then tells you what kind of Mum you are.
