Bosworth Hall and Spa travel review

As you may have noticed across my social media channels, it was our wedding anniversary on Monday. Hubby and I had an extremely lucky opportunity. Not only did we get a weekend of no children and no pets (actual alone time). Sometimes its not all about the family activities. Sometimes you need a bit of grown up time. We got to spend our weekend at the most fantastic place, with great food and a beautiful room: Bosworth Hall and Spa. Bosworth Hall and spa is a fabulous hotel owned by Britannia Hotels. We had such a lovely weekend relaxing, but making the most out of the hotel and spa facilities. It was the perfect way to spend our anniversary weekend.

The Top 5 cities in England’s south west

The south west region of England has a rich history, covers the widest area of the nine regions in England, and has a number of interesting big cities and towns certainly worth a visit. The region has many smaller villages and modest towns dotted throughout and combined with a few of its major cities comprises a population of approximately 5 million people. The children are getting to the age now where they are interested in looking around historical buildings and using their imaginations to think back to what might of happened there. Below are the top 5 cities in the south west of England which I would love to visit:

Please can I be a #QHotelsFamilyAmbassador?

Reviews/Travel

Award winning QHotels are running a fantastic competition to be a#QHotelsFamilyAmbassador and we leapt at the chance to enter. After spending two weeks in a holiday suite with the tots, thinking about how to entertain them when in the room was something that was on my mind daily. Thankfully I had thought about this before hand I took things with us to help keep them occupied. So when I saw this competition, it was just a chance to write down everything I had been thinking about.

What a day! I spent the morning sorting out the front and back garden, it was very hot to do that kind of manual labour but I had to do it. Then my poor Rambo started passing blood, which caused worry all day. Vets have said it’s just an inflamed colon. Poor boy. Then I had my speed awareness course in the evening. Which was an eye opener. I’m going to write about that separately.

Armed with too many menu options and tempting guilty pleasures, dining out can be one of the greatest tests for anyone trying to cut the calories. You can dine out successfully and enjoy your experience, simply by learning how to navigate any menu. Here are some tips that will help you eat smarter and stick to your diet goals while dining out.

After school we went to Great Grandmas and the kiddies had a lovely picnic dinner in the sunshine. It was so nice to sit outside in sunshine, albeit the kiddies got a little too hot. It’s so nice to have the sunshine, everything seems prettier and everyone seems happier.

  • First BBQ of the year: homemade carrot & lentil burgers, aubergine 🍆 (obviously), corn on the cob & a Italian salad. Delicious! Thank you @deanconstant... •
Who else has had a bbq this evening?
  • It's a good job we had some fun activities planned with the dismal weather of last week. Getting in the mood for the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ later on in the year. The kiddies have a fabulous production line going: Daddy has been helping to sort the stickers, Isla has been peeling the backs and Noah has been carefully locating their position in the album and identifying duplicates! They had had a lot of fun. Thank you @PaniniUKOfficial for making our rainy days a little more fun last week. •

  • What a perfect spot for a picnic dinner? I can’t wait to have a pretty garden of my own. The kids have been doing crosswords on the picnic blanket. I like seeing them working together. Not a sight I see very often! •
☀️ thank you sunshine for making us happy this evening.
  • Good morning big yellow thing in the sky.... ☀️ •
How amazing is it to feel that warmth on your cheeks again? Listen to the birds singing in the trees? 🌳
•
It’s going to be rather hot tomorrow, apparently, so whose got plans to be in the sun all day? ⛱
  • My handsome fella is back! His little character is slowly getting back to normal. He’s not impressed with his big red balloon foot 🎈though. We have to keep his paw dry for another week to help reduce any infection. He’s been a very good patient. He’s had plenty of patience... his first walk since Saturday morning and he was loving it! I love this photo. He looks so handsome... even if he has got a red balloon foot! 🤪 isn’t it amazing how much love these animals have for you & how much you give back. I can’t imagine my life without my furbabies.
Please tell me I’m not the only one that thinks like that?
  • I’ve made a conscious decision recently to write more “honest” posts on the blog. Helpful tips, family days out and what I really feel about things. That’s what I do best after all... talk! I’ve been reading Happy from @fearnecotton & it’s helping put words to my emotions. It’s also making me realise I should do what I love. Sometimes there will be sad posts, sometimes thought provoking posts, but hopefully mostly happy ones. So here goes... it’s me. 🔗 link in bio! 🌸📸📚
  • My little man has been through the wars this week, our little Rambo. He had his 11th birthday on 3rd April and his first medical procedure this morning. He’s the most resilient dog I’ve ever known. This morning he had to have his claw removed as it was infected and wobbly. 🤢 He’s back home again now, very sleepy and peaceful. He’s got a good nurse looking after him; Isla will not leave his side. When our furbabies are poorly it breaks my heart...
  • The last day of clubs today: dance and football. It’s safe to say these two are completely wiped out. They’ve had a brilliant week, won certificates and medals 🥇 Isla’s learnt 4 new dance routines and Noah has had a great week of football. WooHoo! 💃 ⚽️ Thank you #randdcoaching.
Do your kiddies go into clubs in the school holidays? How do you find it?
  • What a brilliant photo for #ThrowbackThursday?! I love their little faces. It’s amazing how squidgy they look and how they’ve grown up so much. This was 2 years ago at one of my favourite photo shoot locations! It’s amazing how quickly they do change & develop.
I wonder what they’ll look like in another 2 years time... 💚💜
  • You wouldn’t think, pocketed away a few hundred yards up, this beautiful cottage was hiding in our busy street. I adore this cottage. The little walk way. The wooden gate. The thatched roof. The teeny windows. So beautiful & full of stories. I get house envy when I walk past. One day... 🚪#wanderlust
