After school we went to Great Grandmas and the kiddies had a lovely picnic dinner in the sunshine. It was so nice to sit outside in sunshine, albeit the kiddies got a little too hot. It’s so nice to have the sunshine, everything seems prettier and everyone seems happier.

Today was the first day back after a long Easter holidays. The kids were very ready to get back to school. I couldn’t believe how the school runs hit me, I had forgotten how far the walk is. Heels and school runs do not mix haha. Silly Grandad came over after school, so whilst Isla was at Rainbows Noah played football at the park. They are both very tired now and Grandad!  Oh and I have an offer for my lovely readers 30% off full price items at The Body Shop, whoop whoop!

Today was a busy one. I took the kiddies to Nanny & Grandads as poor Grandad cannot drive for 2 weeks. He had an operation on his eye last week for a detached retina, so so lucky he went to the opticians. After work we went for a walk/bike ride at the park. It was a bit warmer than it has been, it was nice to see a sunset. But the kiddies didn’t listen very well, so it became the most stressful bike ride of all time. Rambo enjoyed his first walk after his mini procedure though.

Today we had a lazy morning, whilst Daddy zoomed around on his bike in a forest, then we went to Great Grandmas and had a coffee (or 2) with Uncle Stephen. The kiddies were super hyped. I mean, ridiculously hyped. The last time I give them a chocolate doughnut for lunch. They were loud, fidgety and acted like wilderbeasts. I was grateful to Daddy who took them swimming as soon as I got back. The most grateful hour of quiet I have ever had!! This photo is of my Uncles dog (Rambos Daddy) kissing the kiddies good bye.

Today little Rambo had his procedure. He was very brave. It only took half an hour, I was quite surprised. He is home with his bandages on and resting. I think he’s making the most of the snuggles and the kiddies being a little calmer than normal. Isla chose his bandages, cuteness! Isla cycled 6.5miles today. We went on our very first family bike ride, with all of us biking individually. Woohoo!

Today has been pretty poop! But the kiddies had a fabulous last day at clubs, dance performances and winning medals. Work was stressful, it was the day of Dean’s uncles funeral which was sad and Rambo has been booked into have his claws removed tomorrow morning, which we know will be very painful for him. Breaks my heart. Hopefully the sun will bring a happier week next week.

My little humans were very tired today. Thankfully, due to the waterlogged Park, football training was cancelled in the evening. Isla spent most of the evening curled up with the Woozles. She looked really cute. Dance & football has clearly worn them out.

I love freshly cut grass, it makes me think that Spring is finally here. But when the freshly cut grass is also soaking wet, it kinda gets stuck to my boots! The children seemed very tired out today after club. They enjoyed it though and we had chill out time before Daddy got back from work.

Happy National Siblings Day! I love this photo, sums up my two! One full of sass and one always trying to reason… We had a fun day at Dance club and Football club. Making new friends and learning new things. They have come home quite exhausted though. Looking forward to bedtime tonight…

Grandad took the kiddies swimming tonight, he used to take them swimming when they were little. He was very impressed with the progress they have made! Isla is full of confidence and diving perfectly. Noah is continuing to do really well with his swimming. They enjoyed playing with their new light up dive sticks. Such a fab idea!!

  • It's a good job we had some fun activities planned with the dismal weather of last week. Getting in the mood for the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ later on in the year. The kiddies have a fabulous production line going: Daddy has been helping to sort the stickers, Isla has been peeling the backs and Noah has been carefully locating their position in the album and identifying duplicates! They had had a lot of fun. Thank you @PaniniUKOfficial for making our rainy days a little more fun last week. •

  • What a perfect spot for a picnic dinner? I can’t wait to have a pretty garden of my own. The kids have been doing crosswords on the picnic blanket. I like seeing them working together. Not a sight I see very often! •
☀️ thank you sunshine for making us happy this evening.
  • Good morning big yellow thing in the sky.... ☀️ •
How amazing is it to feel that warmth on your cheeks again? Listen to the birds singing in the trees? 🌳
•
It’s going to be rather hot tomorrow, apparently, so whose got plans to be in the sun all day? ⛱
  • My handsome fella is back! His little character is slowly getting back to normal. He’s not impressed with his big red balloon foot 🎈though. We have to keep his paw dry for another week to help reduce any infection. He’s been a very good patient. He’s had plenty of patience... his first walk since Saturday morning and he was loving it! I love this photo. He looks so handsome... even if he has got a red balloon foot! 🤪 isn’t it amazing how much love these animals have for you & how much you give back. I can’t imagine my life without my furbabies.
Please tell me I’m not the only one that thinks like that?
  • I’ve made a conscious decision recently to write more “honest” posts on the blog. Helpful tips, family days out and what I really feel about things. That’s what I do best after all... talk! I’ve been reading Happy from @fearnecotton & it’s helping put words to my emotions. It’s also making me realise I should do what I love. Sometimes there will be sad posts, sometimes thought provoking posts, but hopefully mostly happy ones. So here goes... it’s me. 🔗 link in bio! 🌸📸📚
  • My little man has been through the wars this week, our little Rambo. He had his 11th birthday on 3rd April and his first medical procedure this morning. He’s the most resilient dog I’ve ever known. This morning he had to have his claw removed as it was infected and wobbly. 🤢 He’s back home again now, very sleepy and peaceful. He’s got a good nurse looking after him; Isla will not leave his side. When our furbabies are poorly it breaks my heart...
  • The last day of clubs today: dance and football. It’s safe to say these two are completely wiped out. They’ve had a brilliant week, won certificates and medals 🥇 Isla’s learnt 4 new dance routines and Noah has had a great week of football. WooHoo! 💃 ⚽️ Thank you #randdcoaching.
Do your kiddies go into clubs in the school holidays? How do you find it?
  • What a brilliant photo for #ThrowbackThursday?! I love their little faces. It’s amazing how squidgy they look and how they’ve grown up so much. This was 2 years ago at one of my favourite photo shoot locations! It’s amazing how quickly they do change & develop.
I wonder what they’ll look like in another 2 years time... 💚💜
  • You wouldn’t think, pocketed away a few hundred yards up, this beautiful cottage was hiding in our busy street. I adore this cottage. The little walk way. The wooden gate. The thatched roof. The teeny windows. So beautiful & full of stories. I get house envy when I walk past. One day... 🚪#wanderlust
  • Happy National Siblings Day! Baby Born sent us the new Interactive Sister Doll to help celebrate this fab day... the kiddies enjoyed naming her & discussing what siblings and family mean. I loved this shot. Makes me smile! Ps, love the tee’s from @nextofficial. •
