Noah shared his Christmas list with us today, he has been hiding this away for weeks. Obviously perfecting it! I am just in love with the items: cool slippers, bow tie, scarf and coat. He is so cute. One thing I will never tire from: seeing their interpretation of words. Such innocence and creativity too, trying to write a word from how it sounds… 🙂
Well, we woke up to a blanket of snow covering the surroundings of the house. It looked amazing. I love the snow. You probably have guessed that by now. We managed to get out as a family to take the doggies out in the falling snow. Everyone loved it. It’s nice seeing the dogs bounding around and the children having fun too. Perfect day to come down too as it was a weekend…
We had a nice chilled out morning because football had been cancelled. We stayed in the warm, well the girlies did, made some bits and watched a movie. It was the first day in probably years where I kept my PJs on. I had to take them off at 5pm to go to the panto but that was good going for me. I love Winter!
Today was a long day and very very chilly. So cold in fact that it turned my phone off when capturing videos on top of a windy hill. I didn’t even know they did that. I managed to capture some amazing landscapes though, just on my iPhone. I love it when you get that view that you know you have to stop and take a photo…
You may have seen this on Instagram today, I knew this was Isla. Immediately. When I asked her why, she said she wanted to see if it was real or not! The plus side is it looks more authentic now. Someone said it will bring back funny memories every year and that’s true!
Today was pretty miserable outside, we wrapped up with our big storm coats on just incase it rains on the school run. We had a nice chilled evening after school – we played our favourite board game “Guess the movie” its the Disney version. Then we had story time and bed. It was lovely spending time with the kiddies tonight.
I love watching Isla read to Noah. She read really confidently and Noah helped her when she got stuck. They are so, both, very independent that she moaned when Noah helped. But she soon got used to it and let him. She really wanted to prove she could read a big girl story! It was a lovely 20 minutes snuggled in bed together. I love Winter for moments like this.
Today we drove to Surrey to spend the day with Uncle Stephen to celebrate Grandma turning 85! It was a lovely day, it went so quickly. We had a fantastic meal, lovely food in Surbiton and then snuggled up on the sofa to watch The Emoji Movie. I am not so sure Grandma knew what was going on, although she could relate to the emoji smiley face! Go Grandma!!
Today has been very chilled. I’m gutted I didn’t spent it with Grandma as it’s her 85th birthday today. But I rested up and kept warm so I can enjoy our day together tomorrow. We also put up the tree. Like every other family I think…
