We seem to have done a lot this month, month 2, we have changed a lot. Some things just a little and some drastic changes too. The bathroom is coming along. We have about another week to go until I can have a bath in my bathroom. So excited. You can see what we did in month 1 in my previous post. Since then we have done the following:

Kitchen

Since the last update we have done quite a lot. Still a little more to do too. We have started to paint the kitchen tiles to get rid of the apple and pear pattern. I have painted the grout so it looks nice and clean again. It’s amazing how much brighter it looks. We are now deciding what colour to paint the kitchen cupboards. The flooring has been done by Floors Today and it looks absolutely amazing. I will write about that in more detail when we have our diner table. We love the grey, wood effect, vinyl tiles – they are nice to walk on. I love the fact the house looks a lot bigger now and it flows from the front door.

Can you notice where I have another coat of tile paint to do on the tiles?

Bathroom

This has had a major change this month. Hubby took all of the tiles off the wall last weekend, so we were left with a very distressed looking bathroom. This weekend we have new plastered walls, freshly laid tiles with clean grout. It looks completely different.

The bath is arriving this week, so we are going to hopefully have a working bathroom by the end of the week. I am so excited. We need to paint the walls and ceiling, get a blind and then we are done for the bathroom. I have two beautiful aubergine bath sheets, from Deyongs, calling my name out, I have been saving them for my first bubbly bath. They are so soft and they compliment the grey flooring perfectly.

Hallway and downstairs toilet

We decided, at the last minute, to get the same flooring from the kitchen into the hallway and downstairs toilet too. So it all flows nicely from the front door. It looks so much bigger and nicer too.

Back garden

This has had quite a change since last month. Hubby has been working really hard to level the garden out. We had a 3ft waterfall, 2ft pond, greenhouse and a raised vegetable plot. We now have a soil patch where the pond was, hardcore area where the greenhouse was and no vegetable patch.

Our next steps are to get that bathroom sorted. I am very excited to see the finished room. What colour would you paint the kitchen cupboards? I would love to know in the comments below.
