We had a very lucky invitation to see the premiere of “Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them” last night at ODEON in Milton Keynes. I had only seen the trailer for the movie beforehand, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But it was amazing and now I want to own creatures to have at home, as pets. It is absolutely captivating and you get sucked in straight away.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Themโ€ opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures.  Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incidentโ€ฆwere it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newtโ€™s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

There are some clever twists in the storyline and my favourites are in the last 5 minutes of the movie. I will not spoil them for you though, but lets just say: someone is not who you think and it ends with a smile!

Although the movie was rated 12A, Noah and Isla were fine throughout the movie. Isla was a little screechy towards the end but it was because it was so loud in the cinema. Noah was completely soaked into the movie and absolutely loved it. He said his favourite part was when you meet the creatures that Newt has saved.

The cast were amazing, I loved Jacob in the movie, he is a no-maj (a normal human who has no magical powers) and his character was just brilliantly funny. Exactly how I would react to seeing such amazing things happen around me. I love it when he meets Queenie, that is a fun storyline. The children thought it was funny too.
