As many of you know, we love crafting and messy play and we had the opportunity to do both when Baker Ross sent us some of their fun Easter crafts to try out. I love the Easter goodies, eggs and cute bunnies and chicks, it’s great seeing the children be so creative with the goodies too.

I think the favourite out of the box of Easter goodies was the Easter Egg sand and glitter art decorations, the eggs had sections that could be coloured in with sand. You strip off the backing paper for each section, one by one and cover it in sand. As you do this the egg fills up with colour and it looks great. We used the eggs to make fab Easter cards for our family. The children spent a long time perfecting their eggs, they made two each and really enjoyed doing them.

Stickers and stampers are always a hit with the children and easy to craft with too, even if you only have a spare 15 minutes you can do some quick crafts. We love the Baker Ross stampers and have a great collection now. I fill up paint into the side plate sized pots and they are off, dipping the stampers in to the paint and splodging it onto the card – Noah said he was making patterns and Isla just wanted to make a colour explosion! That is what she loves doing best.

We were also sent a kit for making Easter baskets, which Isla enjoyed making and Noah enjoyed doing some finger painting and painting his version of stick people on the paper. He is getting really good at drawing, colouring in and writing = it is quite impressive. They also enjoyed colouring in the honeycomb Easter characters too, they are a great idea for these Spring showery Sundays.
